No thank you, value isn't bad but we don't need Yandle. Especially at the cost of Eberle

About to get a good laugh at the Coyotes fans that say no to this deal.

Even value.

Would really make Phoenix a much different team up front.

Doan-Ribeiro-Eberle
Boedker-Hanzal-Vrbata
Korpikoski-Vermette-Moss

Would be the best forward group we've ever had. Yes I know how pathetic that is.

On the other hand, it would make us a completely different team on the back end, too.

OEL-Michalek
Klesla-Morris
Schlemko-Stone
Rundblad

Just is NOT the same. Ugh.

Value is just fine. I just don't think either team really requires such a block buster. It would be like "Whoa!" But then immediately like "Why?"

It's a great offer. I just think it's overkill.

Its no slight to Yandle, the oilers simply aren't deep enough at forward to move Eberle. Plus i think he's just a touch redundant on the oilers. We have a stud offensive defenceman who gets a bit lost in his own zone, his name is Schultz.

Most Oilers fans are justifiably very high on Eberle. Unless the deal is Eberle+ for a legit number 1 D, why should the Oilers bother?

No team's fans will want to do that, and the real discussion ends. We've been through these "Oilers should trade Hall/RNH/Yakupov/Eberle for d-help" threads a million times and it always devolves into bickering between the fanbases involved. What makes you think this one will be any different?

You're right, go big or go home. With this offer though, Oilers say no. RNH's shoulder isn't worth moving OEL. RNH will be great in Edmonton, but OEL will be a Coyote for a very long time.

Take what rt says about trades and know he speaks for 95% of Coyotes fans. The other 5% have been in the Sun too long. Value's about right, but what's the point of this?[

Im not a fan of either team but i dont think you would get OEL for Hopkins and Smid . Having Hanzal in this to makes it very lop sided in Edmontons favor.

I don't think Edmonton does that anyways even if you think it's skewed in their favour.

Edmonton has been waiting for a centre with RNHs potential for a decade. Hanzal is a great player to have but I think it's fair to suggest he'll never be a top line centre so it's not worth it. OEL is a franchise defenseman but you're not going to give up your potential franchise centre to get him unless you happen to have a couple extras laying around.

Good value, but it's not worth it for either team.

Phoenix fans wont agree to any proposal involving Yandle unless a first line forward and another top six forward is coming their way.

Edmonton is putting faith in Petry, Justin Schultz, Marincin, Nurse and Klefbom to provide offence from the blueline. Yandle just complicates things.

Fair value. But there really isn't a point for either team to be doing a blockbuster trade like this.

I think there's probably a fairly extensive list of d-men who the Oilers would consider an Eberle swap for. But with Justin Schultz on the team, we don't need a Yandle type guy. We need a top pair guy who can be paired with J. Schultz, but is sound enough defensively and strong enough physically to cover for Schultz' downfalls. Yandle is too similar to Schultz for us to have an interest.
