Long Beach goes out and signs another rookie forward from Denver the two time NCAA champs. LB signed Kevin Drummond, the smallish but speedy winger. Should be fun watching some Ice Dogs games.
Thanx for the news.I've a question, do you think any of Foster/Ulanski/Drummound (it's true that he's on the small side) are good enough to make any sort of impact, in the ECHL?
I guess, you gonna be able to catch some ice dogs games...I'm lookin forward to see your reports.

Yes I expect Foster to have a good season, really liked him a lot and had hoped we would invite him and Gabe Gauither to camp, as I got to see Denver several times. Drummond I also think will do well, he's got decent hands and good wheels. Ulanski I can't remember too much but I've got a few DU games on tape.
I will see a lot of Long Beach games if we have some prospects on the team. I saw over 20 games this year, just got 7 games in the mail the other day, mostly end of season and playoffs.

None, several people tell me he's signed but no where is it to be found. I would think that the Habs will put out there prospect camp roster very soon so we'll see if he's on it or not. I was told well in advance that several players that signed in Long Beach were signed, but it wasnt announced for weeks. I heard Wenzel was signed and even told he said he might be Halak's roomate weeks before anything was official. I even heard that Long Beach had signed all three Denver players around the time they announced the signing of Foster. The third guy Drummond was just announced the other day, 4 or so weeks after I heard he was signed. Guess we'll see
On a side note someone said that the Habs will invite Sebastien Bisaillon, defensemen from Val-d' Or to the rookie camp.
Long Beach lost starting goalie Sebastien Centomo as he signed in Finland. Long Beach resigns last years captain in Dan Watson who will be back on defense again this year and will also act as assistant coach.
Season starts at the end of october. Just about all games will be webcast I believe.
Shasby signs with the Aces of the ECHL. Good luck to him, also Gavin Morgan signs in the Swiss league and Dan Focht signed with the panthers.
Keenan is obsessed with size. Focht was clearly the turnover king of the Dogs' blueline when I saw him play last season. Not a huge loss IMO. We will see how Aitken does as a "vet" replacement.
Shasby returns to Alaska where he played in college, so a bit of a homecoming for him. I wish him well, as I always thought he was decent depth...always good at the ECHL level but never sure if he could crack the AHL on a full time basis.
Morgan makes room for some of the younger centres to get more ice time methinks. With Lapierre an established CHL checking forward, management may be making room for him on the 3rd or 4th line. Much more upside for the organization in the long term. Lappy is a great prospect and should be well received in Steeltown.
Nice to see he'll have a job this season. Was hoping LB would also grab Shasby but now they will have to play against him since he went to the division rivals in the Aces.
I'll move this thread later on, just wanted the Larrivee fans to know he is still sort of in the system.
do the ice doggs have any kind of affiliation with Buffalo because down there( Gaspé) by the 20/08 my brother talk to him and he kind of had a agrement with the Sabres
Long Beach signs 25 year old goalie Greg Hewitt. With Halak likely in Hamilton until Danis returns, this move is not all that surprising. Could be interesting later on if Hewitt, Halak and Michaud are all battling for ice time down in Long Beach.
