Dos Anjos looked good.

Cerrone once again comes up short in a big fight.

Seems like a quiet night on the boards here for this card..

My thoughts on the night:

Zak Cummings is probably the most unattractive UFC fighter, but he has enough skills to stick around for a few fights. Cool finish, and Alloway will likely be cut.

Jason High IS a UFC fighter IMO and will stick around for awhile as a low-end gatekeeper. I'm not sure if James Head will stick around for another fight, but I doubt he's long-term for the UFC.

Elkins v Hioki was actually a pretty fun fight. Elkins is just a really solid grinder at 145, and although he'll never be good enough to get a title shot he's going to be a great test for guys moving into the upper tier of the divison. I don't know what to think of Hioki - maybe the UFC gives him another fight, but he's just not good enough to hang with the wrestlers at 145.

If you are going to watch fight on Youtube tonight, make sure it's Brandon Thatch's destruction of Justin Edwards. Really awesome performance against a tough Edwards.

Dylan Andrews looked pretty bad for two rounds, but made a nice comeback against Abedi. Andrews may have injured his hand at some point, he looked a bit off. Abedi looks the part but isn't a UFC guy.

Tavares is just a notch better than Bubba McDaniel. Not an especially great fight. Tavares won't beat the next tier of guys, and Bubba might not last much longer in the UFC. He'll get another fight since he's Jon Jones' buddy but Dana White wasn't happy with him at all on Twitter.

Mizugaki v Perez could have gone either way, but I think the judges got it right. Same with McGee v Whittaker. McGee looked much quicker at his new weight class.

Gastelum just ran right over Melancon. I don't think Melancon is very good at all, but the quickness shown by Gastelum will be interesting to watch. His hands looked awesome in this fight. It goes down as a sub but this finish was all about his great hands.

Cerrone looked off again tonight, just like he does sometimes. I have no doubt he wins that fight 8/10 times, but he just looked a bit listless. Credit to Dos Anjos, he controlled things on the feet.

I'm sure there will be lots more thoughts on the main event as it goes on here..

Complete domination in the 2nd round, Kampman is toast.

It's the time for me. The Youtube prelims started at 3 and the prelims on TV started at 4. I was playing catch up on the PVR after getting home from work.

Missed my boy Cerrone fight. Was it mental again?

Love Condit. Hope he gets another shot at GSP soon.

Condit was taking over. He would've won if it was a 5 rounder. Hendricks had a great first round and then was scoring on takedowns in which Condit outworked him.

Takedowns are the only reason he won.

NBK beat the **** out of Kampmann. Just relentless pace and nonstop offense. Carlos is the man.

I think all prelims going forward will be on FS1, so good news there.

Hard to say about Cerrone. He was slow to pull the trigger, but Dos Anjos looked really quick and was clearly the better fighter. Not as one-sided as the Diaz fight but similar in some ways.

Glad Condit smoked Kampmann. He's the far more interesting (and better) fighter. I don't know why but I feel like a few people were mentioning Kampmann's striking in comparison to Condit's as if it was an advantage. I felt Condit would have a clear advantage on the feet in this fight. Kampmann's only chance was to outwrestle him for 5 rounds. Condit probably has the best standup in the division. Insane cardio too. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be able to improve his wrestling to the point where he can beat the top wrestlers of the division.

Probably not GSP but I think he can beat Hendricks in a five round fight.

fight night ratings 824,000 eerily similiar numbers to what bellator averaged in season 1. while that may seem good for bellator they did have a number of title fights to boost ratings. still tho comparable numbers
