Absolutely. Hideous the way Rennie has ignored the talent at hand and played instead crap like Hienemann and Herzog. Just idiotic. Like maybe he has finally stumbled on to the fact that Manneh was a talent. However, knowing Rennie might just bench Manneh for the next game

I hope Manneh's play and, to an extent, the play of Mattocks last week will finally convince the club that they don't need Miller back with his chronically damaged hamstrings and his big contract.

Rather have san jose dropping a point, then winning 2 in colorado.

I think it's more likely if we get 4 points then 6, and have san jose not win 2 games.

So -- safe to assume the Sounders beat Portland tonight to complete the trifecta of sports disappointments for Vancouver this weekend?

I assume the Memphis Grizzlies will also trade for Lebron James or something.

Timbers score in the 45th minute to lead 1-0.

Is there any reason to prefer a draw over an outright Portland victory?

Actually, if I'm reading the standings right, the Whitecaps could actually pull ahead of them if they sweep both Colorado games, and Portland drops both their remaining games after tying this one. Hmmm... go (slightly) Seattle?

Timbers win; Seattle was unlucky not to grab at least a draw.

Whitecaps win the Cascadia Cup....

At least we take something positive out of the year. Here's hoping we can grab a playoff spot!

Big big game today, if we win (and SJ draws or loses) then it sets up a playoff-like game next week!

Whitecaps game on at 3pm. To drink or not to drink? That is the question.

Mathematically we're not in control of our own destiny - but 6 points from our final two matches would go a long way. We could win both matches and not make it if San Jose won both of their remaining games and Seattle picked up a point vs LA in their final meeting.

If we win both and San Jose gets anything less than two wins, we're in. Or, if SJ does win out and Seattle loses to LA, we're.

If we draw tonight and win at home we need a lot more help - but it's still possible.

If we lose tonight, it's over.

Are you serious ref? Guy falls down going for the header and that's a penalty?

lol, if that's all over him it's no wonder soccer players are the softest out of all the major sports.

It's not about being soft, it's about contravening the rules. You can't impede a player from getting to the ball. Placing an arm over his chest is a definite foul.

You cant place an arm over a persons chest when the ball is in the air, especially when the ball is quite close to the player.

It's a clear penalty

100% agree.

Defenders usually get away with murder in the box and that was the right call.

Whitecaps have been **** this half. Lucky is 1-1.

Reo Coker is a complete waste of space in this game. A cripple could get by him.

They need to step it up big time or it's season done and dusted.
