I suspect that (unfortunately) Reed is here to stay regardless of the outcome this season.

Agreed about the Argos though...they're are a vastly superior team.

I can, and will. Not that they'll need my support. It's like surgery to remove cancer, you don't really want to get cut open, but not having it done is worse than having it done. It needs to be painfully obvious to everyone involved that Reed and co need to go, and ideally Rhodes too. The only way to do that is to suck badly.

I don't want to have to go through another season of skipping near every Eskimos game. And if Reed is still in charge, that's what is going to happen.

How was I wrong?

He's been here 3 seasons. Didn't get many completions first year but got in some games and like any new non import with middling talent teams tend to nurse the player into the lineup slowly.

The guys is 27 my main point is he isn't getting better. Does anybody here think he's actually improving?

This guy is a dud.

Other than Chambers they don't set the bar real high here when it comes to NI receivers.

Something about the lockout has caused time to be all screwed up.
Something about watching horrible teams year after year makes time stand still.

That's the spirit. Yes, the Esks aren't winning pretty, but they have gutted out a couple of wins, and can be playing for a playoff spot next week at home against the Als if things unfold in the way you have set out.

You are a true fan, MoneyGuy. Never say die!

Now, please excuse me as I head over to bet365 and put some coin down on the Argos.

Keep in mind we must have more wins outright than the Als to get into the playoffs. East teams get in by default if we finish with the same amount of wins. We have to win this week and next week in order to really solidify our chances.

This week and next week will be brutal for the draw at Commonwealth since the Esks have had such a poor season and these games near the end against Eastern opponents are always a tough draw.

Yes, I'm aware. I was just saying they could be tied at the end of the weekend.

What exactly is the appreciation night all about? White rapper from the 80's doing half-time show?
being a long time eskimo season ticket holder, it seems fan appreciation night is now the esks brass having drinks to celebrate the fact that there are still idiots like myself who keep giving them money.

I go to the games and Rhodes sure hasn't giving me an improved game day experience, that's for sure.
and that's without even talking about what we see on the field. ~sigh~

No worries. Considering how doom and gloom this season has been, that's huge in itself and a valid point.

They've easily lost 5-7k season ticket holders in the last 10 years. It's embarassing. There's no excuse. I'm in the same boat as you. They don't even throw mini footballs in my section any more.

BTW...agreed on everything except to say that the 2 times I listened to the Hamilton PBP it was better than Scott/Campbell from an informational perspective. When I listen to the Esks games there are too many times when I have no idea what the down is and where they are on the field. Its brutal.
Listening to the Ti-Cats broadcast out of Guelph right now. You're correct. Dull as it is, I can tell exactly what's going on. The same can't be said when I hear Scott & Campbell. They do indeed stand alone as the CFL's worst.

Milt Stegall says that Mike Reilly should be nominated for the MOP award but he didn't get any support from LaPolice and Schultz. That was some fun TV.

"He's putting up desperation numbers!" - Schultz (wut?)

"You have to win games!" - LaPolice

Well this is a change.

The secondary is looking pretty good. The defence bailed Reilly out twice there.

Reilly looks like he's knocked out after a late dirty hit to the head and throws a (pretty lucky) TD the next play.

Argos are as good as the Esks at kicking field goals...

Hopefully Reilly is okay. Defense has looked great so far. That was a disgusting hit and the type that can end careers... scary ****ing stuff.

Hopefully it's just precautionary measures and we'll see him again after the half.

I like how it's just a given that Stamps is going to make those catches.

I can barely even imagine how bad we'd be without him.
