The annual HF bold predictions thread

Exactly what the title says. Make some BOLD predictions.

Here are a few of mine:

Neither Sedin hits 70 points.

The Rangers miss the playoffs.

The Oilers make the playoffs.

When the Oilers make the playoffs, they are shut out 3 times in a sweep to the Blackhawks.

The Metropolitan and Central divisions only have 3 teams in the playoffs, while the other two have 5.

There will be ten 90-point scorers: Crosby, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Malkin, Hall, Giroux, Kessel, Kane, Backstrom, and Spezza.

There will be four 65-point defensemen: Karlsson, Subban, Letang, and Pietrangelo.

Carey Price will be a Vezina finalist.

Sean Avery will somehow make a come back into the NHL scene; not by playing in an actual game, but by saying something real *****in stupid about some other player/team/coach.

The main stream media will continue to portray shocked indignation at how fighting is still in the game.

John Tortorella will cause controversy in Vancouver.

The advanced stats guru's will continue to prophesize the downfall of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A high scoring defenseman will win the Norris Trophy, over his more well-rounded counterparts.

The hockey writers will finally differentiate between a left and right winger.

Calgary will miss the playoffs.

TB will get just a shred of NHL average goaltending for the first time in years and they will make the playoffs and get to the second round.

Ovechkin doesn't reach 82 points. He's below a PPG when the season is over. Clarkson continues to struggle with reaching 40 points again. MPL fans will bash him.

Ryan Strome ends up playing the entire season and reaches 70 points.

Erik Johnson puts up high point totals, Norris candidate. HF Polls section explodes because of this.

Luongo puts up .010 better save percentage than Schneider along with 7-10 more wins.

Blues make the playoffs and Halak doesn't get injured as they start. (Yeah, right)

Chicago finishes outside of the top 5 in the league in the standings.

Zdeno Chara fights Tyler Ennis.

Capitals make it to the Finals.

Senators and Ducks miss the playoffs.

At some point Crosby will be on 'a pace' to break the NHL single season scoring record.

There will be three first time Norris finalists.

If he ONLY puts up 7-10 more wins then things are probably going very very poorly in Vancouver considering at best Schnieder with 50-50 split and Lou will play basically all games.

Here's one: Subban will win his second Norris trophy.

Could you imagine?

-Crosby and Malkin will play all 82 games and will combine for 250 points
-None of the Oilers F stars (Hall, RNH, Yakupov and Eberle) will crack a PPG
-Panthers make the playoffs on the backs of Huberdeau, Barkov and Markstrom
-A new D will win the Norris this year
-Reimer has noticeably better stats than Bernier
-Ovechkin crumbles in the new division because of better defense
-Kopitar wins the Selke
-Tavares hits 50 goals
-Calgary isn't the worst team in their division next year
-Grabovski will have more points than any of Toronto's C
-Seguin and Benn both break 80 points
-Parise/Koivu/Pominville will be one of the top-5 lines next year
-Anaheim's starter will be Gibson by the end of the season

Seguin has a PPG season.
Wild win the Central.
Preds make the playoffs.
Jackets make the playoffs(not really bold, but whatever).
Schwartz finishes with more points than Tarasenko.

Bobrovsky doesn't come back down to earth and challenges for the Vezina again. He looses out to Cory Scneider.

One of those things is not like the others, one of those things just doesn't belong...
