Just watched the main event again, Pettis' kicks were viscous. Couldn't hear the impact yesterday because the bar was too loud. Damn.

Going into the fight I had Pettis winning but a year ago I would have said Henderson rather easily by UD. After watching Henderson/Diaz and Pettis/Guida, I didn't like Pettis' chances. But I thought Melendez exposed some holes in Henderson's stand up and Pettis has really improved his wrestling since his last loss. He could be champ for a while.

Did you ever see him in the presser after he lost to Pettis the first time? He was in tears. Holding it together in the post-fight interview doesn't mean it didn't matter to him.

All in all, that was a pretty crummy weekend. My buddy and I drove up to the event from Ohio to see each of our favorite guys (Guida and Bendo). I had a feeling it would be a tough fight for Guida and knew Pettis had a good shot at beating Bendo, but never did I expect things to go down like that. I did not think I'd see the day where someone in MMA would be able to tap him out. I guess he can no longer be called Gumby.

To be fair that was a crazy armbar by Pettis. There was no way Bendo wasn't getting his arm broken if he didn't submit.

For sure. After some of the stuff he's escaped from in the past, I questioned whether he actually had any actual bones, haha.
