First time going to a Habs game

Hello,

I'm planning to go to a Habs game, maybe againts on october 22nd. It will be my first NHL game ever at the Bell Centre and I, as a not so rich student, have no clue how to deal with all of this.

To all Habs fans of HFBoards who have ever been to a home game:

I don't mind at all spending 200-250$ for a nice seat, but is there a significant difference between 100$ tickets (farther and higher) or 250$ tickets (closer and lower)?

Thank you guys for your help,

MaxHabs24

For me, personally, I'd rather spend less and buy upper bowl tickets than tickets in the reds. Tickets in the white center are better than endzone reds imo.

What this guy said. White center is indeed a great place to watch a game and you don't have to spend $150 for the ticket. Anywhere you sit in the Bell Centre, you're gonna see well. Trust me.

You. It's a matter of how big you want the players to look and how much you can smell the ice. The view from the nosebleeds is still great and to be honest, I've had more fun up there than the few times I sat in the reds.

Save your money, bring it to the game and have a hot dog. Maybe two.

Molson Ex Zone. That's where the ambiance starts from.

Or do it right and get some Montreal Smoked Meat before the game. Then spend the remaining 100 dollars that you saved on a beer at the game. If you're lucky, you might have a little bit left over for a mint patty.

The nosebleeds has the best fans I have been told to be quiet a lot in the reds since a lot of suits sits there. I'm always screaming and having fun so the whites and blues are for me.

If you get desjardin tho then free food and ill keep quiet

Actually, sitting at the corner facing the length of the boards and with sightlines directly down the boards is quite a good view of the game and is cheaper than the red line.

Somebody once told me that is where scouts used to sit (or at least used to sit there in the past before all media and boxes available) and I believe it. Sightlines are good.

FYI: My Habs VISA card has been giving me Beer-Miles with every purchase. I think this is the year!

I've sat in quite a few different spots. 2 rows behind the Habs bench was cool for a one time thing but not great for watching the game. Stay away from section 113, I got stuck directly beside the camera once and regretted buying the tickets. (Could only really watch 1/3 of the ice)

I also had reds a little further up but it was closer to the goal line than center ice. Honestly I like the center Whites the best.

Don't buy any smoke meat. Worst smoke meat on the planet. (Considering it's only in Montreal they call it smoked meat). Seriously tho, it taste horrible. As a fat man that knows his meat, I had tickets in the desjardins section with free food, I didn't even eat my sandwich, disgusting.
