Taylor Hall gets no respect

Hall was the 2nd leading scorer in the tight checking western conf and top 10 in the league. He was the highest scoring Canadian LW. He's a first oveall with a better ppg than the golden boy John Tavares. Yet not a sniff for team Canada from media pundits.

Why no love? He's an Ontario boy. He was an Ohl star. I don't get it.

Honestly, it's because he's yet to lead his team to the playoffs. Once JT did that, everyone in the media noticed him.

Also, if you were going to steal the premise of this article you should have at least included the link.

I'm sorry he keeps carrying his team to lottery picks and doesn't get the respect he deserves for doing so

When he plays in the real season, he might get a tad more respect.

I quite like Taylor Hall. I would have picked him for Captain of the Oilers.

impressed enough to still get an invite to the main camp, i think he's on the outside looking in right now but if he plays like he did last year, he should make the team.

Hall has yet to play above 70 games in a season. He hasn't reached 75 points in a seeason yet, and he also hasn't shown that he makes players around him better. JT made Moulson a 30 goal scorer year in and out.

If Hall can make Gagner/RNH come to form more frequently, and reach a 75 game/75 point season, then we'll talk. But John Tavares came off an 81 point season playing with Moulson and someone else. Let's see Hall do the same. If he does, he can make Team Canada on one of the top two lines. I don't think Hall is there defensively (yet) to make the bottom defensive lines.

agreed, he should be in top 10 atleast including goalies? no respect here on the forums, shame on you hfboards. does better in performance than john tavares yet,
taylor hall < john tavares
like wtf? dont give me that edmonton has more talent, then why didnt they make the playoffs? and the islanders magically did? hall is an elite player and theres a reason he was picked 1st overall and theres a friggin reason he got silver in the iihf world juniors. hes done way better than anyone here on the forums just to let you know. im not a taylor hall fan or nuthing but this dude is gonna go major. even check on wikipedia (i just did right now) and bobby orr is his agent...bobby orr! he has probably trained with orr so who knows how good he will be. orr was onee of the greatest and so that leads to the conclusion that taylor hall deserves more respect. ANY TEAM WOULD LOVE TO HAvE HIM. just keep that in mind i sure would love to have him on my team any day of the week and he is one of those special players that will win a cup when at full prime show. this kid will be getting awards from hart to art ross future hall of famer and a monster threat to any other team. once he gets bigger and works on his checking he will be the next gordie howe.

Poor Taylor Hall gets no respect.

Although TSN leaving him off is pretty silly.

he had 8 points in 2 games versus a couple crappy teams last season. not to mention he disappeared down the stretch when his team was still in the playoff race by going pointless in 5 games. sorry, but i just don't see it- he is going to need to be scoring in the nitty gritty instead of racking up points against sub-par teams.

Simple. Since he's out west and the Oilers haven't made the playoffs (through no fault of his own) they don't have to acknowledge him. TSN only cares about the Oilers when they can hype their draft coverage.

His talent got him the invite, not his performance at the world championship. I'm sure a large portion of the media can recall his poor play and that may factor into Believing he will not be a part of the team and that was my point. I would live to see Hall in Sochi, love the play he plays.

Maybe because Spezza isnt versatile enough to play on the wing?

Its not like Team Canada desperately needs Taylor Hall to win Gold.

I think he's one of the best wingers in the league and I will be pissed off if he doesn't make team Canada.

Signed, Canucks fan who hates the Oilers
