Which players retire in Nashville?

Two part question. Who currently in the organization do you WANT to retire as a Predator? Who do you THINK will retire as a Predator?

1. Legwand.
2. At the rate we're going, no one. I even suspect Weber may want out at some point.

As far as who I WANT to, Legwand, no doubt. Who will? No one knows.

I know this 110% way too early to call, but Josi is showing signs of being very committed to this organization. I could see Rinne as well. Weber, possibly, by virtue of his contract. Hornqvist is possible as well. Legwand seems to be an easy choice, as well as Fisher.

Legwand is the obvious choice and the most likely.

I'd LIKE to say Weber, but I honestly just don't know. If I had to put money on it, I'd say Rinne.

Honorary mention to Stevey if he's got another year left in him. Gets traded back here at the trade deadline for a 6th round pick after an unforeseen injury.

I would love Stevey to find his way back him to honorarily retire as a Predator. Maybe once the year ends, we can trade future considerations for his UFA rights so he can retire here?

Steve motha freakin Sullivan.

Sign him to a min contract, he retires, the contract ends.

Sully was the Predator to me.

The problem with anyone other than Shea retiring a Pred is we cant afford to keep guys around and let them play out the string on a "thank you" deal... It will either have to be someone who is still playing well enough to justify their contract or else someone who retires due to injury earlier than expected.

That said, I am hopeful that Rinne will end up retiring here.. Im hoping he has enough in the tank for a three year deal after his current one is over and then decides to retire rather than go be a backup elsewhere

I don't doubt that he/they would like to stay, but at a certain point business becomes business. I think it's far from a lock that he retires in Nashville. Although I hope he does.

not sure that JP truly counts as a retirement here since he was bought out and he went to europe and played another season..

but he still lives here...

I guess Dan Keczmer was the first player to officially retire as a Predators player. Him or Jayson More, I don't know which was actually first but both still live in Brentwood.

Pretty sure it was More.

The league has become so fluid, I don't know that anyone currently on the team is a lock to retire here. It'll probably end up being Chris Mason. Ha!

Greg DeVries finished here didn't he? I know I've seen his kids at some Opryland Hotel events, and maybe even some recent Preds games.

No, I just looked it up. Turcotte and Keczmer played til 2000, Jayson More's season ending injury occurred during the 1998-99 season, but I can't find out the actual date.
