I hate him, but I'd take him back. He's a great player.

My girlfriend likes his looks too. She also liked Hedberg and he's gone now too. I always thought Kovalchuk was a better looking guy than Zach, but that's just me. I'm a dude that isn't into dudes, so I might be alone in that thinking.

Zach was supposed to be this really good looking pretty boy. In reality he had a funny looking nose, and even what appeared to be a wart or something on his nose. And a unibrow too.

Man I can't believe this is what I'm talking about. Zach and Kovalchuk's looks. What has our team come to?

I know we all have a dislike for Kovalchuk because of the way he left and I believe that you are serious when you say something like this. But in all honesty this is just simply not true. Before he got here he was a 45-50 goal a year guy who didn't know what the defensive zone even looked like and we turned him into a very well rounded two way player. Maybe he didn't score like he used to but he was still a PPG game player and was still an effective player even when he wasn't scoring goals unlike when he was on Atlanta, where if he didn't score he was a detriment to the team. I mean we had the guy killing penalties the year we had the greatest regular season PK in the history of the game and he was actually pretty damn good at it. Kovalchuk was a great player and its a shame he left so early. I was really looking forward to watching this guy score his 600th career goal and maybe even 700 in a Devils uniform it's just such a shame. In his prime Jagr was better and more dominant but right ow Kovalchuk is far and away the more dominating a superior player and in my opinion it's not even close.

I think he is a good player, but as far as his looks go......

I think he looks like the Governor from Walking Dead but a little more downsy

I know right, it's bad..But I'm enjoying lol

Yea I always thought Zach was adorable but too small for my taste.
Kovy is not only handsome but big! He's like what 6'4" 230 lbs .. A real manly man. So is he really coming back in 4 years??

Sorry fellas! We can talk about how hot Elias's wife or the Devils dancers are now.

Yes. He bailed but I care way more abou winning. Also, because of the money, I would have bailed back to my own country too - and so would have most here that loathe him for it.

I couldn't believe the number of people who were happy he was gone. Despite our off-season additions, I figured we'd miss the playoffs without Kovy.

Of course I never imagined we'd be *this* bad, but I knew he was a huge key to any success we had during his time here.

Our big problems last year were Marty and Kovy getting hurt. We'd have easily made the playoffs if those two had stayed healthy, IMO.

Our problems this year are (in no order) Marty being awful, lack of Kovy, and the coaching that is stunting our young players.

Never. He turned his back on this franchise that gave him the world. He did us a favor by ditching that stupid contract.

He can still **** himself even if we finish with the worst record in the league. His contract penalty/departure is a big part of the reason we're hip deep in **** the way we are.

I expect Kovy will be back within 3 seasons.

And everyone's hatred for him will reverse, just like when Niedermayer and Gomez almost came back after respectively being public enemies no. 1.

But no guys we just had a 2 game winning streak!

You know what was missing in the Devils game yesterday , sure Elias and Zajac were missing, but the answer is a player like Kovy

Just having him would make the lineup so much better.

Henrique-Zajac-Kovalchuk
Elias-Loktionov-Jagr
Brunner-Zubrus-Ryder
Clowe-Carter-Bernier

I don't think i would take him back either. But standings aside, the guy was just so entertaining to watch. He honestly added another dimension to the games. You always knew when he was on the ice. So exciting. Just fun to watch.
