Southampton are a vastly entertaining side. Think I finally have a team.

Although Noah and Hinrich are out right now, Rose can do anything, the Bulls are 8-0 in the preseason, and I think are the main Eastern threat to the Heat. What do you think?

+1

Bears thread was first started because there was so much Bears talk in the OT thread you pretty much couldn't discuss anything else. Not gonna have the same issue with the Bulls.

Don't see what the big deal is. It's kind of annoying to have to read through a bunch of baseball/soccer talk.

Tough to say. A lot of the analysts are big on Brooklyn, but I think the Bulls are better. The Knicks are solid, but I don't think they can beat Miami in a playoff series. Indiana plays similar to the Bulls. Tough D and nice depth. I still think the Bulls have more talent and are deeper. They'll be so much more dangerous with Rose in the lineup.

Jordan Lynch already has two passing, one running, and one receiving TD today. 20 minutes in.

How the **** has it been 8 years already? Holy **** has it all gone down the tubes since

Impact trailing late 1st half, 3rd could be all the Fire's for the taking tomorrow.

SKC wins; Philly is out and Red Bulls need all 3 tomorrow to win the Shield. Hopefully that leaves them exposed playing for it all and the Fire capitalize.

Fun, sure, but it was pretty flukey and it obviously didn't lead to any sustained success.

Well any normal year that 06 club would have been division winner (Fluke was the Twins and Tigers both having outstanding years at same time)

So looking at 05-08 as peak it was 1 great season , 2 good seasons and a terrible season for that core

90 game winners don't consistently win divisions.

The idea of 3 teams in AL Central winning 90+ in a year would have been laughable at start of 2006 season

2000 and 2005 was only year a 2nd AL Central team won 90 or more and didn't make it

95 AL Central = Tribe 100-44 (2nd place Royals had 70 wins)
96 AL Central = Tribe 99-62 (2nd place White Sox had 85 wins)
97 AL Central = Tribe 86-75 (2nd place White Sox had 80 wins)
98 AL Central = Tribe 88-73 (2nd place White Sox had 80 wins)
99 AL Central = Tribe 97-65 (2nd place White Sox had 75 wins)
00 AL Central = White Sox 95-67 (2nd place Indians had 90 wins)
01 AL Central = Tribe 91-71 (2nd place Twins had 86)
02 AL Central = Twins 94-67 (2nd place White Sox had 81 wins)
03 AL Central = Twins 90-72 (2nd place White Sox had 86 wins)
04 AL Cetnral = Twins 92-70 (2nd place White Sox had 83 wins)
05 AL Central = White Sox 99-63 (2nd place Indians had 93 wins)
06 AL Central = Twins 96-66 (2nd place Tigers had 95 wins , 3rd place White Sox had 90)

??

Games won by AL Central winner

00: 95
01: 91
02: 94
03: 90
04: 92
05: 99
06: 96
07: 96

One year out of eight, 90 games would have tied for the division and been a runner up every other year

What is BWC talking about?

Buehrle and Contreras decided to **** the bed in the 2nd half. That's why they didn't get in, had nothing to do with what Detroit and Minnesota did.

Don't forget Mackowiak playing CF which he couldn't field. Of course the other option was Brian Anderson who couldn't hit anyone not named Felix Hernandez. I still can't believe that team didn't pick up anyone at the deadline.

"I cannot believe you make that call from home plate," Jake Peavy, who started Game 3 for the Red Sox, said. "I'm beat. I'm out of words. I don't know what to say. I think it's a crying shame a call like that is going to decide a World Series game. It's a joke. Two teams are pouring their hearts out on the field and that's the call you make."

Am I the only one who just flat out does not like peavy? Didn't like him when he was on the sox and now I just dislike him even more. Just seems like such a whiny tool.
