I think he had a turnover that led to a Russian goal in the first. Heard he came back strong right away though.

His play kind of reminded me of Pietrangelo actually, what really impressed me was how he got better and better as the game(s) went on. Kid is going to be very good.

Yah, he made an ugly play at the blue line, but he really recovered with a great back check and poke on that play. That was really the only mistake I saw of his in the game though. I might check it out again on my PVR (since SN only shows the Canadian goals on their highlights) but I think it was more the case of playing Ekblad/Pelech more rather than any of the other dmen less.

Carrick and Bigras were getting plenty of icetime too. I think it's a case of the way Hunter runs his bench. He has favouites and plays them more. The powerplay was dominated by London Knights players.

You would have thought that he would have tried to switch things up on the PP considering Team OHL was having trouble entering the zone and getting quality chances. Nurse certainly could have at least given them a different dynamic with his skating ability and shot.

Their goalie, Ivan Nalimov, is 19 years old, but he was pretty awesome.

Big, quick and competitive.

I think he stopped 52 shots or something last night.

How does RUS keep getting goaltenders who go into god mode versus Canadian teams?

Well since there are 2 other Canadian teams in our division, we should find out, and get one as our backup

Tragic. Our current Russian goalie underperforms his career average against every Canadian team except Toronto.

Probably due to the cold and his fear of bears. Notice he does his best against Toronto where he'd have the least chance of a bear encounter and Vancouver which has the mildest winter. His worst save percentage is in Winnipeg which he probably knows Winnie the Pooh is named after.

I wouldn't even know where to start, it was a blur of ov's, sky's and more ov's.

I like both Shiksatdarov and Tkachyov, both are tiny but Tkachyov has amazing hands, Shiksatdarov is more aggressive.

What numbers are Khaira and Moroz? Any other Oilers prospects in this one?

I know 17 is Khaira, and I don't think so.

Comrie shaky in net so far, imo.
