If it wasn't for the horns, which blend in a bit too much with the background, it looks like a very angry donkey. Not a fan.

eh, not a big fan of this one. I do like the white brick wall in the background, but really not too special.

It's cool, much better than his last ones which have been very boring except for the Demitra tribute on the back.

I like it. I think the horns need to be a bit darker or a different shade so they stand out more. Other than that, it's a pretty neat design.

Is he hoping the glove on his mask stops pucks better than the one on his hand?

Yeah, because mediocre goalies can single handedly beat the Capitals and Penguins. Get a grip. Sure, he hasn't played that well these past few years, but injuries are a valid excuse. Also, he is our ONLY proven playoff performer.

I actually really like this one. Its bright with a neat concept and seems like it fits him well. I hope its the lucky mask that brings his game back to where I know it can get

The 09-10 season called, and they want their goalie back.

Halak has been nothing but mediocre for the Blues, even in his best season, as he was bested by his backup.

His backup's mask beats his in this case, too.

Really hope Jaro can bounce back to his 2009-2010 level.
As a Blues fan in Québec, I watch a couple of Habs game every year (friends are Habs fan, what can you do lol) and can testify on how he was in the regular 09-10 season (wich better represents his ceiling IMO; that years playoffs were overachievement).
He would give the Habs 5-6 games stretches of really solid goaltending. Not necessirally stealing games, but will instill confidence in his teammate, and be a bona-fide number 1. He wont play more than 60 games though, as he seems to loose his edge after 6 games in a row or so (don't know why, but this was a recurring problem, would always go like that. Is it mental fatigue? physical fatigue?), then you gotta put the other goalie in for two games and Jaro would come back strong for another 6.

EDIT: Don't care for that mask too much

Halak is a better goalie than Elliott. At least at some point, Halak has actually displayed his ability to perform in the playoffs in a pressure cooker of a market like Montreal. Elliott has displayed slightly above average goaltending performance in the post season, and that's it. No need to debate over this, seeing as how Halak is apparently healthy and ready to prove it to you himself this season.

Actually, I just found out that Halak decreased his body fat percentage from 14% to 9% this off season.

Good if true (cuz sometime those summer trainning reports are exaggerated). Hopefully he'll have more endurance this year and will be able to play more games (and avoid injuries). He has all the Tools IMO to be a good keeper in the playoffs BUT he'll have to elevate his game (wich I believe he has the potential to). By that I mean : every year, the level of play rises, so to have a good career, a pro player needs to play better than the year before EVERY YEAR. This is why some players are one season wonders, they can't elevate their play. Hopefully Halak is not one of those.

I don't understand how anyone missed the horns. They don't pop, but they're still obvious. It's an above average mask, but not special.

It's a bit disjointed, but what makes it better than most to me is that so many cartoon-styled masks are done by artists who might be great mask painters, but are subpar in character design and cartooning in general. Even in this one, the way the teeth are drawn looks screwy. But the glove looks good, the ring detail on the horns, for example, is nice, and the character has a good balance between detail and simplicity. There's a lot to see, but none of it is confusing, which is a big challenge on the curve of a mask.

I liked last year's better, but this one is good.

It's growing on me, I think. I like the white bricks and the blue contrast.
