I'm a fan of rolling these lines

Bourque-Legwand-Forsberg
Wilson-Cullen-Smith
Nystrom-Fisher-Spaling
Clune-Gaustad-Hendricks

Weber-Klein
Josi-Jones

beck was one of our best 3 forwards in his time last year... he deserves to be up compared to these redundant pieces that are over-paid out the ass at that

Bleacher report also reporting that beck was cut.

I don't think Moser goes to Milwaukee. He either gets signed and we move Spaling or he goes back to the land of the swiss.

One question about Moser. I thought I had read that he is under contract back home but has an NHL out clause. Does that include play in the AHL? This is where I am confused about all of the Milwaukee talk.

Wilson and Bourque were both on 20+ goal paces for a full season before injury. Fisher and Legwand are consistently high teen, low 20s scorers. Plus Stalberg when healthy. Then Shea on the blueline.

It's not like the league has more than about 120-130 twenty goal scorers per year ... about an average of four per team.

fisher has 50+ points twice in his career. highest point total is 53 abd he is aging. same with leggy.. 20 goals twice, one his career year with kariya.. again, aging. im high on wilson and bourque but they are un-proven. we will struggle offensively like always other than the anomaly of having the #1 PP in suter's last year.

probably just best to accept our team's build... little offense, good defense, and great goal-tending. trying to act like our offense is good is asking for trouble. sending a guy like beck down because of waiver status over guys like hendricks, nystrom, spaling, gaustad, clune is another mistake.

Beck will be back. He is able to move to minors easily and Poile is keeping an extra spot for a waiver pickup if any one worth it becomes available, there will likely be a surprise and we are near the top of the list.

Beck will be first callup and deservedly so. His time is very near. He will get his chance. Last year he only played because we had so many injuries. Watson is pretty close too. I hope we didn't hurt ourselves with some of these signings this summer.

Ummm, I doubt it. I think Wilson has 60+ point potential, Forsberg could break 50, so could Hornqvist, Legwand and Weber.

I would actually add Cullen and say that while unlikely if Smith keeps his WC/preseason form could hit 20.

If they remain healthy, Fisher and Hornqvist are locks for 20.

This season or in the future? Wilson I believe has .75 ppg potential for sure. Forsberg, who knows?

I would say both of them may hit that mark a point in their careers but never sustain it for more than a season. Wilson is probably around a 60 point guy. Forsberg might be a little less about 30 goals 25 assists.

PPG players are rarities for a single season and an about once per draft class occurrence for careers on average. About 4 20+ goal scorers is average for a season. We have at least six guys with the ability to score 20 or more. Odds are we see around four reach that level, a couple more in the 17-19 range, with the hordes sorting out behind them. The generalist talk about us struggling to score are subjective at best. Over the past eight seasons, the Preds have three among the top ten goal scorers (5th, 8th, 10th ... the 5th was one goal short of being 3rd for comparison), three among the bottom including tied for last in 2013, and two in the middle (12th and 18th ... the 18th 4 goals below the league midpoint). The we "always" perform in any particular way just doesn't hold up.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but that final roster shows that our forwards are made up of 3 left wings, 1 right wing and 9 centers. Is that unusual? I know we have a few guys who are natural centers that we play on the wing, like Wilson and Smith, but is it typical to do it so much?

Seems like every year Trotz talks about moving Wilson to center, but with a roster like this I don't see how that could ever happen. Is it not detrimental at all to have so many guys not playing their natural positions?

I only see two guys who might be able to score 20 for this team.

74-75 points in the standings, tops.

Yes, if he gets an NHL Contract he would also play in the AHL. So it's include the AHL, but just if he get's a two-way contract. He wont sign just an AHL Deal with Milwaukee...

I guess you have Hornqvist missing time then

Really, I would question your analysis period.

Let's just take my list and I'll put my reasoning.

Hornqvist - Has averaged a ppg pace of 24 goals a season, Has never played a season with more than 30 games and not broke the 20 goal more.
Wilson - Has a ppg pace of a 18 goal full season, and we all believe he's better than that now. Or most do.
Stalberg - His only full season he scored 22 goals playing little pp time and not much ice time period
Legwand - Has averaged a ppg pace of around 18 goals a season, 20 is reasonable.
Fisher - his ppg pace of 21 goals a season
Bourque - his ppg pace in his 2 partial seasons of his young career would put him on a 19 goal per season pace. He had 11 goals last year in only 34 games, that ppg pace would put him around 27 goals. Of all our players, he has the best chance IMHO.
Forsberg - what can I say? I believe in the rookie
Weber - his ppg pace would put him at 17 goals, so 20 isn't unreasonable.

So there's my reasoning.

Injuries and slumps will happen, but all of these guys are generally around that 20 goal mark.

According to several sources in Switzerland:

Moser got a contract offer by the Preds and his Swiss team SC Bern is planning without him. So it looks like he'll sign.
