Correct.

Whoever wins goes to the World Cup. Whoever loses stays at home.

False.

Today was the first leg, the second leg is on Tuesday.

Where Sweden will have to win by 2.

Not sure what happens if Sweden wins by a goal though.

If Sweden wins 1-0, we go to extra time and PKs.

If Sweden wins 2-1 or 3-2 or anything more than that, then Portugal goes through because the first tie breaker is away goals.

Basically, Sweden have to win by two goals to avoid ET/Being Eliminated

Sweden go through with a win on the night unless Portugal score and the result is no greater than 1 goal.
