There are already limited choices in Denver, losing two of the best places is a real blow. Now I have to trek even farther for some good food. Living on the north side sucks.

I did find one of those fast food Hawaiian barbecue joints yesterday in Thornton though, so that sort of evens it out.
There are practically zero good non-chain (redundant I know) restaurants up north. It flipping sucks.

I'm trying to think of some and I can't even come up with more than two right now.

Yep. There used to be a really good place like a block from my house, but they are no longer there. I hate having to drive 30+ minutes to Aurora to get something good to eat.

When we go out to eat we head to Boulder. Lots of good places there.
I don't like Asian food, though so I don't know about that (other than crab cheese wontons...I can eat those all day)

If you don't like Asian food, it just means you haven't had enough Asian food!!!!

Amu up in Boulder is a great restaurant, but it's expensive for my taste.

If you are into mexican/south american food there are some alright spots in north denver. An authentic Brazilian place used to be a block from my house (mentioned it in my last post), and it was REALLY good.

BBQ pineapple needs to become a thing. Seriously.

I just don't like the flavors of Asian food. Pretty much all of it. The closest I get is Sesame Chicken!

As far as Mexican goes, we really like Coronas if you know what to get (136th and Zuni). Basically the burritos and spicy chicken tacos. Everything else I've had there were just alright. Problem is, they have awful margaritas. I can't take a Mexican place seriously without a good margarita (they use margarita MIX, pre-bottled, for pete's sake) and they're expensive.

Only Brazilian food I've ever had was Rodizio's downtown. I'm not sure how authentic it was but it was delicious

Best Brazilian steakhouse (like Rodizio) in Denver is Fogo de Chao. If you want more normal Brazilian food Cafe Brazil is a good representation, but not quite authentic. I haven't had Little Brazil yet, but have heard good things.

Texas de Brazil is my favorite of those Rodizio type restaurants but they are all fabulous. Anyone have a favorite steak place? My conclusion is Del Frisco but haven't tried Shanahan's and hear that's pretty good.

The little Brazil is really good. Go there. All Rodizio's are good.

I don't do Margaritas because I think that Tequila is awful, but there are whole bunch of places with good Mexican food.
A pretty good street to check out for Mexican is 72'nd. There are several good spots off of there to check out.

I usually just stick to Chop House. They never disappoint us meat wise and unlike a lot of the more upscale places, it's not all al a carte. You get too much cornbread, too much salad, and two sides included. But they have great beer and drinks so we still always run up the price a bunch.

Also, The Fort is one of my favorite places for meat in general. Very out of the way but it is flipping delicious. Also, it had good, expensive, but fair priced food while being more laid back. So I don't have to look nice whatsoever but I can still enjoy a $50 elk steak.

Yep, been to both of those and like both. The Keg is another very good steak place that isn't super high end like some of the others. I actually live very close to the Fort, so that's always a good option.

We've done the Keg, too. Good food but they just did not have a good beer list which is make or break fro us (well it was before I was allergic ) lol

I'm allergic to brewer's yeast. So no beer. And I can't have too much wine.
Or I get super sick.

It sucked at first but I'm over it now. I'm not sick everyday anymore. Every once in a while I miss beer and forget how it made me feel so I trick myself into thinking I can have a taster or something and then I get sick and remember. That was last week so I have a good couple months before I try again

Distilled liquors do not have yeast. I'm unfamiliar with absinthe but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't make me sick due to allergy but it would probably make sick for other reasons lol
