Betker does nothing for me once in the opposition half of the ice, but he's looked really solid in his own zone for the Oilers. Better than Klefa/Nurse for sure.

Really like Roy, Gernat, and Marincin. Can't help but be disapointed in Nurce and Klefbom, but, I think they will come around.

BS penalty on Marincin. Solid play, use his size to knock a faster guy with the angle off the puck.

Ohhhh man, refs ****ed the kids there. Shoulda been a call against the Flames in the corner especially after that weak one they just called against Marincin.

Edit:

lol so they put him in the box AFTER the goal is scored. Ok.

Hmm I think that could have been a penalty in the corner that ended up creating the chance.

Flames rookies are looking quite good in comparison though.

**** are you kidding me. NURSE AND KLEFBOM AGAIN.

Klefbom fails to clear the guy in front of the net. Nurse gets caught chasing his man around the ice and crossing up Klefa.

That was terrible.

He's now sealed off in the penalty box.

Gene isn't doing his job well enough. I'll do one for him.

Not a good showing for the young stars here. Bunz was getting swarmed in the first.

It'd be nice to have the Russian kids around right now. Too bad.

I really hope I'm just missing the sarcasm here...

You're not actually pointing at one game of the rookie tournament to judge the worth of a pick right?

Roy just looks great out there. He's almost always in the right place. Especially when he needs to be coming back to fill in defensively.

A guy with his physical skills and pedigree at the junior level is going to drink this experience all in and improve.
I was referencing his play in the 2nd, he was still a pylon on most plays he was faced with there. Not judging him or his potential, just stating that you can really see how raw he is even against weak competition.

It'll be interesting to see how he develops, but he does have a long way to go(obviously).

That would be terrible, both for Nurse and the Oilers hockey team.
