Byfuglien to Philly

What'd it take to bring Big Buff to Philly? Does Winnipeg need immediate help or picks+prospects?

Let's try to keep cheesesteak jokes to the minimum

I want Byfuglien to stay far away from this team.

TO has Liles + Ranger and a 1st

edit: you can take Fraser instead of Ranger if you want. If you retain some salary we may even through in a prospect!

He'd be our best defenseman. And he's a RHD. I wouldn't want to pay the price to bring him here, however, because it would likely include Matt Read.

Who knows what Winnipeg needs (4 games in). They've shored up their previously pathetic lack of depth at RW with two solid acquisitions in Frolik and Setoguchi. Then again, who knows how long they'll be around. LHD is lacking a bit, but I don't see anyone on the Flyers that I'd consider as a main piece for Buff in that regard.

I'd think if Trouba keeps up his current level of play that Buff will be on the table, and could be had for as little as a solid 2nd pairing LHD + 1st + B-level prospect.

Coburn+Laughton+two firsts and a second? Could be interpreted as a lowball but if the Flyers continue to look abysmal those picks could be real solid.

I'd sooner give that up than the Schenn brothers though. Something around Coburn (LHD)++ is something I could get around.

Coburn+Laughton+1st(5-15) would be enough in my opinion

Big Byf (buf) fits the mould of a Philly dman. Physical, eats minutes, and booming shot. However his defensive game and terrible pinch times make him a liability some nights.

However?

Seems to me that his defensive game and terrible pinch times also fit the mould

I think Coburn gets the conversation started, he's the kind of guy we would need. He's been a target of mine for a while, and I know Philly has been scouting Buff for a while. Clearly Buff is worth far more than Coburn (currenty 6 pts in 5 GP), but I don't know what else would need to be added.

Make it a three team trade

Wpg gets

Sbisa (LHD), Holland(or Ducks 1st) Phil 2nd

Phil gets Buf

Ducks get Coburn

Not even close for Winnipeg. If we were looking young D Lindholm would be closer to Buff in value. I think they'd be more likely to go for a young forward as opposed to a D, if they even wanted to move Buff, which I'm not sure do. He's playing really well right now.

I would be fine with the Schenn's coming back for Buff.

If not that, 1 Schenn ++ would be alright.

B. Schenn, Laughton and a second for Buff and a 4th or something like that?
