Hattricks by defensemen

hi guys,

I was wondering which defensemen were able so far to score a hattrick in an NHL or NHL play-off game.

the only one I know of right now is andy delmore (PHI), but I´m sure there´s lots more.

any written answer or link to page is greatly appreciated.

thx.

Desjardins scored three for Montreal in the '93 finals.

There have been lots. Paul Coffey had a few.

The record for goals by a defenseman is 5 by Toronto's Ian Turnbull.

Sheldon Souray last season. Against Predators if I'm not mistaken.

Devils scrub defenseman Uli Hiemer had a hat trick vs. the Penguins back around 1986 on Halloween night.

Tom Bladon of the Flyers had 4 & 4 during his record breaking ight, that might be the most unbelievable single game in NHL history considering Bladon's actual career.

To this day the only defenceman to accomplish the feat in a playoff game I believe. Certainly the only time it's happened in the actual Stanley Cup Finals.

Desjardins is the only defenseman to score a Finals hat trick, but other defenseman do have playoff hat tricks.

Yep.

Flyers won anyway.

Andy Delmore was the first rookie defenseman to have one:

I think Steve Duchesne had a hattrick with the Flyers, including an empty net goal for #3. He was on my fantasy team at the time.

I could've sworn Orr had a couple, but maybe my memory is just that foggy. He was a force of nature several times, though.

Uwe Krupp scored a hattrick in 1994 or 1995. I think he was the only defenseman to score one in that season.

Does Mathieu Schneider have one? I think he has one but I'm not sure altough I
could be way off track again.

Paul Reinhart is the only NHL defenseman with 2 playoff hat tricks.

http://www.hockeydraftcentral.com/1979/79012.html

Bobby Orr had one against Dryden in the 71 playoffs.

MacInnis has had a couple. 1 in 91-92, and one in 96-97.

Man, I miss watching Mac play.

Bladon's came against the Cleveland Barons, 11-1 win.

I know Steve Duchesne had one for the Flyers, too, against the NYI.
