Wow. Ray Fosse, former catcher and current A's color man just said a few things.
First, he said he was told that during game 6 of the WS in 2011, after Feliz blew the save and Hamilton homered to give the Rags a lead in the 10th, they couldn't put Feliz out because he had been crying and was too emotional to pitch.
The next part, Gary Pettis told him they had Cruz positioned on the warning track, where the Freese ball was hit, but he kept creeping in during the at bat. If he would have been in his original spot, he would have caught the ball easily.
Why do teams run on Yadier Molina? That's honestly doing the Cards a favor. Mariners just handed the Cards two outs in the 9th, one on a hit and run(understandable), another on a straight steal attempt with Zunino, who had already homered, at the plate. I just don't understand it.
I don't think the Mariners know who Yadier Molina is...they're trying their hardest to just give this game to the Cards. Between the defense in the 8th and the way too aggressive base-running in the 9th...I can't believe this even made it to extras.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
