Look at their lineup right now, no surprise they are struggling. Nick Punto is leading off tonight. A.J. Ellis and Skip Schumaker are hitting 5th and 6th. Someone named Nick Buss in LF. They were also due for a cold streak after playing at a historically great level for so long.

Too bad for the Angels they waited too long to play well now that it doesn't matter for them.

How's that Washington's fault?

Didn't see it so you don't know if he decided to bunt on his own but sacrificing in the 4th inning to get a runner to 3rd is stupid.

The Yankees haven't won a game in the last four days -- and they've gained ground in the AL wildcard. espn.go.com/mlb/standings/…

Dat Cards bullpen. Kappa.

Feel bad for Lance Lynn, which is kind of difficult to do.

Siegrist actually gave up a hit to a lefty.

I have no clue what Rosenthal's ****in problem was.

Yeah, great job of laying the bat head out and taking that pitch the other way. Frustrating night, aside from Tulo crushing that lazy fastball, nothing really was hit all that hard, they kind of out Cardinals'd the Cardinals....not rolling over on pitches, timely hitting, etc.

Starling Marte returns to the line-up tonight for the Pirates...I can't emphasize enough how important his return is.

I'm expecting some rust, though...unfortunately coming back this time of year means no rehab assignment.

What a meltdown by Kimbrel and Simmons to give the Nats the comeback win, 2 of the Braves most reliable players just crapping the bed completely.

Thrilled to hear about Marte. I hope the rust does not last too long......as BIG said, he's an extremely vital cog in the wheel.

So frustrating watching the Nats finding new ways to win every day. I just want this Wild Card clinched ASAP for the Bucs so that I can feel 100% comfy in cheering for the Nats when they face the Cards next week. (Nats have 4 vs. Miami this weekend in DC....figure 4 wins right there)

Royals up 3-0. That AL WC race gets even crazier if they win that game.

Yankees down 2-0.

Orioles tied at 2 with Boston.

Cardinals fans should be sending Tim Welke roses...seems every time I've had a gripe with an ump this year it's been that guy.

Close play at first, bang bang play and a toughie...replay showed Pirates pitcher Bryan Morris getting there maybe a fraction of a millisecond before the runner, but I can accept that safe call...but he then proceeds to be picked off twice, safe calls both times (there was a third throw over as well, but the tag missed).

The sad thing is that the pick-off plays weren't even that close.

Of course that runner comes around to score for the Padres to make it 5-2.

If San Diego wins they will improve to 30-10 all-time at PNC Park. What the ****?

Koji's streak is over. Orioles take a 3-2 lead. Can Dirty Jim close it out?

Orioles win it.

Cards also up big. Not a good night for PIT at all. They HAVE to win the next 2 against the Padres basically.

Matt Kemp 2-2 so far tonight...if he can get hot, that is big news for LA.

Cleveland tied it at 3. Rare bullpen fail by KC.

The Pirates' ineptitude against the Padres is ridiculous.

10-30 at home over a 13 season span against a team that has largely been irrelevant in that span (not moreso than us, mind you, but they're still home games and the Pirates typically have a respectable home record at PNC Park). It's baffling that it's been so consistent considering literally no one on this current Pirates team even played there in 2008.
