Chef and Our Great 8 looked nice.

We got another step closer to Draisaitl, and a step away from being 4-0'd by the Hawks in the first round. Not a terrible situation all things considered.

that second period killed it for the jets. gotta play a full 60! should have been a clean win with that 2 goal lead in the first. undisciplined per usual.

Youngins showed up. Wheels improved but didn't create much on his own.

Like 55 and 26 together, I'd like to see 9-55-26 before long.

Future looks very bright. Trouba and Scheifele looked great. Scheif can shoot the puck, his little drag and shoot reminds me of Ovechkin's shot. Wish he'd shoot more when he has the opportunity.

Good 1st, good 3rd, terrible second. Scheifele and Trouba with a good game, Frolik, Seto Little with strong games, and some good work by the Nose - wish he'd have potted that one that went off the post.

2nd period did them in - they should have buried them. Onwards and upwards.

Is it sad that even as the Jets went up 2-0 I still was pretty certain they were going to lose the game?

Also it was pretty embarrassing how Varlamov left the net because he knew Parenteau was going to score, it would have been nice if Pavelec delayed the inevitable, but alas.

Matt Duchene is really good.
I bet Pavs is fuming over having to do another shootout.

Scheifele played great and could mesh with Wheeler, but pleeeaaase keep #9 away from him.

Another strong game against a top team. They just need to be told that the second period is 20:00 long, not 19:58.

It is fun seeing a whole new dimension of the team open up, with Trouba, Scheifele and Thorburn the stars of tomorrow.

Also, Frolik isn't getting nearly enough credit ... a great pick up.

Although I'm the world's biggest Pavelec fan, he hasn't looked his sharpest the last couple of games, unfortunately.

I wonder what they'll do with Kane.

He left the net and went to the bench on the Avalanche's first shot too, he didn't do it because he "knew Parenteau was going to score", it's just what he does.

I really do like the Jets players, in theory they should be able to make the playoffs. However, I'm starting to think a shake up is needed. The Jets really need to find a player that oozes talent. That's one thing we're lacking.

Too many Wellwood/Tangradi/Miettinen type of acquisitions. We would benefit GREATLY if we could acquire a Duchene/Seguin/P.Kane type of player that could dominate a game. (these names came to mind because they've all made the jets players look like junior players this year).

I think a coaching change could help too, but the results of bringing in a new coach could go either way. There's not enough evidence yet to peg this all on Noel.

Yep. Shouldn't be too hard. Dime a dozen.

Dennis Beyak specifically said what I just posted, I didn't know it was something he usually does.

But when they were down 3-2 who really doubted they'd score the tying goal? They are killer in the third period. It's just that they're always coming back at that point.

Those names are pretty much unattainable, they just came to mind because I've seen them dominate the Jets this year.
More reasonable would be a player along the lines of a Brayden Schenn. A guy that hasn't REALLY broken out yet, but the potential is there.

The Jets have a lot more problems other than goaltending. Improving in Net would help but it doesn't put the team in a playoff spot.

Terrible 2nd did them.

Outplayed the Aves in the first, third and OT.

The rookies were excellent again.

Wheeler was better. Get him Scheifele and Frolik on a line full time now IMO.

Ya I some what would agree with that, but with Pavelac in net we will never be anything other than a .500 team. How many years does he have left?
