The Browns will be like this in a year if they get Bridgewater

The Browns have the chance, but there have to me way more differences

The defenses are pretty similar, especially if Mingo pans out. Horton moving them to a 3-4 better suits them in the long run.

Richardson hadn't been anything great since they drafted him. Chances are they'll take a back or two in the middle rounds next year. Not the hardest position to find. If they get Bridgewater it obviously lessens the need for an elite back.

They need to take a WR with that 2nd pick, big time. I like Gordon, but he's a slot guy. At best he's a #2.

Regarding the Trent Richardson trade...IMO the Browns will be getting a High First rounder back in 2014 anyway, in addition to the high First Rounder of their own. I think the Colts are all media hype this year. Look at their schedule. Do you see them winning...6 games?

SF - Loss
JAX - Win
SEA - Loss
SD - Probably a Loss
DEN - Loss
HOU - Loss
StL - Probably a Loss
TEN - Win
ARI - Loss
TEN - Win
CIN - Loss
HOU - Loss
KC - Loss
JAX - Win

I see 4 more wins (making them 5-11) with 2 more potentially, putting them at 7-9 and that's being really optimistic. I just don't think the Colts are that good. I even think the Titans at least split with them the more I Think about it.

I see them beating Houston once and Arizona. KC is iffy.

I can't believe I even have to explain this to you.

The Chiefs have a better offensive line. Fisher, Albert, and company are better than Cleveland's unit, although Joe Thomas will be in the HOF.

Next, you have to look at the other offensive weapons. Alex Smith has Jamaal Charles to compliment a passing game that features Dwayne Bowe. Cleveland has Josh Gordon. A good player, yes, but he's a third receiver on a playoff contender and maybe a two if it's a sixth seed.

The defenses aren't really close. Mingo, Taylor, and Hayden don't really compare with Berry, Flowers, Poe, Houston, Hali, Johnson, etc.

Gordon is major off field issue and speculation is that he will not be in Browns longterm future either

They basically will need to rebuild entire offense outside of O-line (Greg Little is another WR that is not part of longterm plans)

So Browns used in last 3 drafts

1st round pick - 3rd overall in 2012 (Richardson)
1st round pick - 22nd overall in 2012 (Weeden)
2nd round pick - 2013 2nd given up via Supplamental draft in 2012 (Gordon)
2nd round pick - 59th overall in 2011 (Little)

A lot of wasted value on young skill position players likely not with team next year

Thomas and Alex Mack are a better core combo to an oline than Fisher and Albert.

Thomas is amazing and Mack is good C but the Chiefs line as a whole is younger and I think will be better in longrun

Browns O-line is all in there late 20's while most of Chiefs O-line is just starting to develop and have been recent draft picks outside of Albert

What about the rookie RT Schwartz who was good last year?

Forgot about Schwartz (Both of them)

Looking at the lines

Chiefs
LT - Brandon Albert (29)
LG - Jeff Allen (23)
C - Rodney Hudson (24)
RG - Geoff Schwartz (27) and Jon Asamoah (25)
RT - Eric Fisher (22)

Browns
LT - Joe Thomas (29)
LG - John Geco (28)
C - Alex Mack (28)
RG - Oniel Cousins (29)
RT - Mitchell Scwhartz (24)

I just think in the Chiefs have a bright future on O-line and will continue to develop and grow

Thomas and Mack are great now ,, But Albert/Fisher as T duo is not bad to have IMO

lol

Thomas, Mack, Schwartz are just as good if not better the Chiefs line

Fisher got beat like a rented mule last night, he still needs to develop before we call him a stud.

The Chiefs passing game IS Dwyane Bowe, who hasn't been anything special outside of 2010. Browns have Gordon, who will probably be a two or three if he has a good quarterback, and Cameron is emerging as a good tight end.

Charles is a stud, no doubt.

The Browns defense has plenty of quality players: Haden, Ward, Jackson, Sheard, Taylor, maybe Kruger, and potentially Mingo. They certainly aren't an elite defense, but they're good enough to win 7+ games with Bridgewater or another good first round QB.

Chiefs Oline is much better run blocking unit currently
Browns Oline is better pass blocking unit currently

Bowe with one leg is better then Gordon ,, And Gordon is an incident away from a year suspension in NFL and reportedly is not viewed highly by Michael Lombardi

They'll be at least .500, I don't see them losing to St Louis or San Diego

Colts are improved too. Luck is living up to his draft position. Getting Richardson is huge for them. He is a good RB and he won't have to be the go to guy there. He has to complement Luck. Hard to judge him when his QB was Wheeden and all teams knew the only threat to watch our for was him.

I'm not sure they are improved. Luck playing better (if it happens) would be an improvement, and T-Rich is an improvement. But they lost Bruce Arians as their OC, and that's no small measure for this team. They also lost their best pass rusher on defense, and have taken a few steps backwards on that side of the ball.

Plus they had a joke of a schedule last year and I believe had the biggest win expectancy gain based on point differential.

Arians is why Luck had such a bad turnover ratio and completion percentage. And Luck is already playing better.

Arians is also why Luck threw for over 4000 yards. Good with the bad. And who is their OC now? Pep Hamilton? Bahahahahaha!

As Goatie pointed out, they also had one of the weakest schedules last year for their 10-6 run. That won't be happening this season.

Look it's just my opinion, but I think the Colts fail hard this year. That's one of my 2013 season picks.
