Trades/Retaining Salary?

Hey guys, not this year because the cap went down, but next year when the cap goes up, do you think GM's will start to make more trades, and use retaining some of the salalry of player X in order to make more trades?

Teams with cap space rebuilding will use that feature this year to permits trades that would go over the cap. Watch the deadline.

Toronto did it this year with their trade with LA.

But yeah, we'll probably see more of it once there's more cap space available, at least one would assume.
