He is heavy and slow alright. watching the Pens in the playoffs you can see why the Sharks let him go. He brings a need here for us, but let's just say I wouldn't recommend him playing in back to back games
If numbers are right, he lost 5 lbs. He should be slightly faster this year.
Happy to know he works with psychologists, and if I remember well, isn't Guimond the one who helped Eller a lot ? If it's him, well, we saw the results last year... hope he can do the same with Leblanc.
You said the exact same thing in another thread not too long ago, I believe, and when we posted the stats I don't know if you ever even answered. I might be confusing you with someone else, though.
It's not some massive sample size, but yes it happened.
You're not tying him down, you're letting him play more. Pleks will get the most ice time. Adding maxpac to that trio only means that they'll be pinning other team's top lines in their defensive zone that much more. You play your best players most. Maxpac is our best LW. Play him as often as you can. What he loses out on points he'll make up for in keeping the goals out of our own net. And on top of that, he'll be playing more. So that's a net gain for the team. I couldn't care less about his points column.
Pacioretty is still only 24, if anything getting tougher ES minutes could be another step forward in his development to becoming a legit 1st liner. Staying in a bubble won't do his game good.
Vail had a pretty bad rookie camp from what I've read.

Edit: Tarnasky 6.2 and 230! he could be a nice call up for the 4th line,no?

One thing though....if Vail didn't deserve a place....how the heck did Bozon deserve his place? Kid doesn't deserve it either. And I would not have invited MacAulay as well.
When the problems with Jacob de la Rose and Windsor Spitfire's came about (Jacob staying in Sweden) seems Vail's too could revolve around the Spitfire's internal problem's whatever they may be. Sometimes keeping things quiet just create more out of nothing, who knows?
The Habs (Bergevin) have certainly been busy this summer again, another fruitful off season, from where I'm viewing. The Habs organization has undergone a rapid transition since the end of the 2011 - 2012 season end and considering only a 48 game season has been played, the Habs System is on a steep incline upwards.
Hamilton's Camp (Rookie Camp) & the Habs Camp have lots of competition and that can only bode well for the future.
