UNLESS you're using Twitter as a means to get actual information out to the public (like a charity or world news or hockey news etc) it's really just a way to pump your own tires and post meaningless thoughts that you THINK people want to read about.
No. He would've been right a year ago. But now that hes no longer affiliated with the Rangers, hes no longer right.

What more of a comparative do you want?

Tortorella has a twitter account promoting his dog charity. His daughter is on twitter too.

To be fair, his daughter handles his Twitter and he uses it for the promotion of a charity which isn't the same thing as the narcissism boat that he's talking about

I think he's going to get along well with Luongo on Twitter.

A question for HFNYR because people haven't been explicit in their conjectures:

How much do you think Glen is offering Step in the 2 year deal?

I'm guessing $2.75M

I'd guess NYR is offering 2.75, Step is asking 3.25, it'll shake out to about 3.

At some point in the near future it's gonna cross that threshold if it hasn't already. He gave us the years, now Glen has to bend a little towards his side.

The funny thing is that the simpler this is the more of a stalemate it will be. It's now just literally both sides chanting their numbers like a mantra.

Since Vigneault has wiped the slate clean, can Stepan still use his past performance in contract negotiations?

If a tree falls in the woods but there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?

My utterly baseless speculation says that Sather's probably offering 2.5, while Stepan is asking for 4 million a year. They'll agree to something between 3-3.25/year.

I'm serious all it would take is a signed Sue Sylvester poster or something on top of 3.15m per for two years.

Numbers don't tell the entire story; there isn't a GM in the league that would take Stepan over Duchene!

The Hurricanes, predictably, signed Hainsey.

I don't know where you want to go with this but you're argument would be better served chosing another center to draw a parallel with because Duchene is way out of Stepan's league!

And despite all that they still get the same results.

Why do I get the feeling you buy batteries with the flashiest packaging?

Like 31 said, still same results somehow! (Exclamation points seemingly establish a statement as more convincing and factual!)

Brooks: Stepan open to short-term deal with Rangers

Quote:
At this point though, the negotiation is no longer over term. Itís about dollars. The Rangers have limited cap space available for the opening roster óas currently constituted, anything over $3M would be a stretch while leaving the club vulnerable to an October injury before Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin are cleared to play ó but thatís of the teamís own design, not Stepanís.
Buy a calculator, Brooksie.

After watching Richards put up points last year while being a detriment to the team, I don't know that production is always the bottom line. On the other hand, you aren't comparing one player being a detriment to his team to a guy who isn't in this case, so carry on.
