Tami would be somewhat listen-able-ish, if he wasn't trying to pump his own tyres every time he opens his mouth.

HIFK always had more support in Talviklassikko games. But I guess many who have experienced the games live decided to stay home and watch it from tv. I would have been able to go there free but I chose home sofa and the game in HD.

Game being on free tv probably made more people stay at home.

Moses scores to give Jokerit the lead. First ever lead in Talviklassikko?

Also, as a red/green colorblind person, I hate these jerseys. HIFK should have played in white jerseys.

Niemi's five hole

Well at least we have more wins when you count playoff wins. Let HIFK have 1 more regular season win.

23845 in attendance.Probably not making much profit form this games, either team.

Teräväinen -2 in this game so far as well.

This. I was thinking about going there to see it live, but I'm glad I didn't because I couldn't have differentiated between the teams from a distance. Red against dark orange on a dark day .

Anyways, happy times for a HIFK fan. Summanen out and eternal local championship(jk) in two days.

IFK had blue pants but due to the rink being so far from the stands, they wouldn't have been very visible probably.

The Jokerit team isn't doing anything to get fans interested in the KHL with their performances. Doing their best to kill any momentum as numerous fans at Jatkoaika are saying.

Watching that last game, doesn't seem like HIFK's new coach has made any significant changes yet...

Of course not and he's not going to make them either, the season is almost over (tho i hope not). Rindell was already in the organisation and obvious choise since there's no reason to bring Törmänen in yet.

Valtonen puts 3 dmen in the shootout vs Tappara, Lindell is the only player to score in the shootout and Jokerit takes the extra point.

Lomarengas-karsinta

Such a pro-league

When that deal is over...what's next? Aurinkomatkat or Tjäreborg karsinta.

No wonder Nokia went down the toilet when business/sports management is at this level in Finland.

Eh, the original name (villi kortti-kierros aka wild card round) or nickname (säälipleijarit aka pity playoffs) for it weren't that great either and hopefully some of that money from this will go to improve the league somehow and not only for the big guys in charge.

Hockey is a sport, but also a big business, I mean over half of the arenas also have some wacky name for example.

Edit. Ok that was a bad example, but look at everything else.

Nice little ad by Ässät to Jokerit's last regular season away-game in Liiga.

Oh and in other news in today's meaningless game youngsters Valtteri Parikka and Ville Ahlgren will play their 7th game in eight days. Nice little reward for coming back in the U20-playoffs from 0-2 to win it 3-2.

I don't have problem with arenas having sponsor names or even leagues but could you imagine Stanley Cup playoffs named after some sponsor or example "corner kicks" in football games?

Plus I'm pretty sure that the money they get from Lomarengas, is peanuts.
