I mean he is certainly top-50 here, but wouldn't say one of the best overall players. He just has excellent hockey sense and has been delivering great passes to others, mainly Niklas Hagman, who I would say on the other hand is one of the best players if not the best player in the league atm. Overall this season Dragan has also been pretty good defensively compared to his last time here, but sometimes has taken an unnecessary penalty after getting frustrated.

He's not one of the best in Liiga for sure but in top 50 yes at this moment I think so. Probably Finnish style more straight forward hockey fits him better.

Hooligans are idiots and they should watch soccer. Fights belong inside the rink, not outside of it.

Why would you first say that he's one of the best player in Liiga purely based on his stats and then proceed on completely ignoring production when rating his play in Sweden? He was the top scorer on his team twice in a row in Elitserien during 2008-10 scoring 30+ points both seasons. He had one of the best visions in Sweden and he continues on having one of the best visions in Finland. He will have his shot at showing what he can do in KHL soon enough. If not this season then the next one.

I think his inconsistency and lack of goal scoring are going to keep him out of there.

Those should prbably keep him out of there, but you know the level of scouting practised in Russia. As long as he keeps on piling up points he's going to get his chance.

0-4 loss in Kuopio to last place Kalpa. No centre(s) in sight since Hjallis isn't opening up his pockets. Clearly mailing in the last season in Finland, that will surely bring up the fans to KHL.

Jokerit playing with green jerseys at Talviklassikko, HIFK red. As a red-green colorblind person, I disapprove.

Ässät finally plays against an even worse team than them and ends their 7 game losing streak to a 3-1-win against HPK.

Nice to see some effort, especially from the young guns.

Rinne also taking the number one spot in goal from Riksman. Lots of rebounds, but at least he is making the first save.

Oh, and based on what I heard from the radio Sami Mutanen scored a top-10 goal of the season today. Good for him also.

Edit. Damn, that goal was just silly: http://www.ruutu.fi/ohjelmat/sm-liig...sen-upea-soolo

It's a good thing there are worse teams than Jokerit at the moment in the league. 1-2 win in Pori.

Yesterday 4-1 over Jokerit
Today 6-4 win over Pelicans. 4-1 down at one point.

Pretty good couple of days Puustinen

Well, Rasmus Rinne is already starting to look like a good goaltender in this league. Plenty of rebounds still, but other than that can't ask for more at the moment.

Other than that not much to celebrate in Ässät atm. I guess the grinders and kids are playing as well as they can, but unfortunately that's not enough.

or they are throwing in the towel, one or the other.

Meanwhile Ässät continue to also be a complete mess not including Rasmus Rinne, the grinders and the youngsters.

If they have no hope, TPS kicking out the foreign legion and replacing them from their own junior pool could actually mean they'll be a better team in the long run.

To utilize NHL jargon, they're not throwing in the towel, but going into "rebuild mode".

Or a firesale that will leave the one in Buffalo to shame.

Sad thing about TPS is that their juniors suck as well.

IMO there's a decent amount of unrefined talent in there. Nothing that'll make it any big headlines, but something that can still turn a notable career in Europe. And now they can pretty much use Suikkanen to refine it as well, when his time is not wasted on trying to teach the idiosyncracies of two-way game to Francis Paré.

Yea, almost right ecxept our A-juniors lead their league. And like the rest of the teams in our league, top players are with the first team.

What did they announce?

EDIT: Oh, wait, the Erkka-deal. I thought that was announced some time ago but I guess those were just rumors?
