Player's age when the tournament starts is shown in parenthesis. Locks are highlighted.

It's not certain yet. No final decisions have been made yet.

I'd say they play. Bettman promised us something in return for the cancelled NHL Premieres in Europe and this is the only thing that could rival it.

Us? Europeans don't really care about the World Cup, only Canadians. Besides, NHL premieres aren't exactly something that needs to be made up for and World Cup still isn't even close as interesting as them.

The World Cup will be played. Swedens future looks great but somewhat thin on center position going forward? or is it just me

Zetterberg
Sedin
Backstrom
Steen
Berglund
Johansson
Backlund
Lindholm
Zibanejad
Wennberg
Kruger
Soderberg
Josefson(?)
Rakell(?)
Karlsson(?)
Jarnkrok(?)
Lindberg(?)

....are the centers I can think of, most of them can play on the wing as well.

Looks pretty good to me. Zetterberg and Sedin should still be good by 2016, if not we still have some nice depth and some young guys.

Well, even if we dont care about the NHL Premieres, Bettman still said he would make up for them. And what could then be a better substitution for it, than a World Cup that no-one else then he cares for?

Admit that no one but Canada gives a crap about a World Cup and do the premieres and Victoria Cup in 2016.

I could take the Premieres since i loved them, but could also take the WC. Pre-season Victoria Cup? No thanks. Or, they can do it before the premieres.

Will do for 2016, but not that good until someone 25 or younger not named Backstrom truly pans out to be a first line center. Relatively speaking(Canada, Russia) of course. That last step to be a point per game player can be tough.

A bit thin!

Steen - Bäckström - Landeskog
Zetterberg - Lindholm - Silfverberg
Sedin - Sedin - Eriksson
Pääjärvi - Berglund - Zibanejad
Krüger - Forsberg

PS. Everything looks thin compared with our defense and Henrik Lundqvist.

That's why it's pre-season...

You'd seriously prefer preseason NHL games to a World Cup of Hockey?

Wow

Wow
The Premieres are regular season games, not pre-season.

And yes, I think pretty much everyone would choose to watch the best club teams in the world over a glorified international exhibition which only had a few games in Europe anyway.
