NO! IT'S A LIE!!! We all know that's how it begins! Certain interviews will be Airwave-exclusives, while us net users will be left behind, needing to pay extra for the material!

When asked to rate the team in terms of depth, character and speed out of 10, Bergevin gave:

Depth : 7.5
Character : 8
Speed : 8

Said : "We are not there yet but we have made great improvements."

Pointed out that good teams make the necessary adjustments when they need to, not for the sake of making moves.

On Moen : Spoke with Moen during the off-season and said Moen was more disappointed in himself than Bergevin was. Believes Moen made a lot of improvements during the off-season.

On Price : He's still young but is very mature. Not a "make or break" year for him but one that Price wants to do good in.

On Parros : He brings more than just fighting. He's a Cup winner, a leader in the lockeroom and a good teammate.

On Briere : He adds speed and skill which is what they aim for. Says to look at Chicago who isn't the biggest team on D and has a lot of skill up front and they won the Cup.

On Galchenyuk and Gallagher : He'll leave ice time to Therrien but does expect them to have a bigger role.

On his suit at the draft : Wait till next draft.

On if he'll get a Twitter : "What's that?"

Moen being disappointed in himself doesn't account for his pansy play on the ice.

Also, why doesn't anyone EVER ask about the awful defensive breakdown we had under Therrien's stewardship by game #40? Is it a sin for Montreal sports journalists to ask hockey related questions?

They touched on the breakdown at the end of the season and in the playoffs. Answer danced around "learning experience" and "Ottawa was a very good team."

Infuriating. It was clearly bad tactics, it was just a lack of preparation and foresight - nothing to do with experience. Gorges and Markov are veterans for christ's sake. Bouillon, the teacher's pet, is 38. Drewiskie was Bergevin's prized acquisition.

If Therrien is going to insist on that brain-dead "chase the puck at all times" crap he tried to pull we're in big, big trouble. Shades of late 2000s Carolina, one good year followed by one awful year.

TAC-TICS. Not TicTacs.

And Ottawa was not a good team. Injured Karlsson, Spezza wasn't there and a roster full of rookies is not a good team. They just had a (much) better coach than us.

IMO it's less about tactics than it is about our defensive corps which is not that good.

The Ottawa series was about goaltending...at both ends. If you want to call taht strategy or coaching then fill your boots.
