Excited to hear how Glennie performs.

Don't want to read anything into it, but it's interesting Ritchie is back on the 4th line. Going in to camp, I would have guess they'd throw him up on a scoring line just to see what he could do. Playing him in an energy/checking role during the pre-season makes me wonder if they're considering him for that role immediately.

IDK ... probably not. He is though the type of player you see teams grow on the fourth line in the NHL rather play him big minutes in the AHL. Personally tough, I'd rather see the full AHL season. He could develop as an NHL energy player next year maybe.

I can't find any radio information so we might just be out of luck.

I think putting Ritchie on the 4th is a combination of limiting his minutes while getting him some action and also let him just throw his body around. If I remember correctly, that was something he liked to do when came to Texas last season. Wasn't great at it though.

I really want to see Glennie's line in action. He and Chiasson never really played on the same line in Texas but I can see something good coming out of this line. If Glennie plays like he did in the Calder Cup playoffs then Dallas is going to have to make some hard decisions.

Sort of surprised they put him back at center though.

We sure are rolling some stacked lineups.

I think part of that is finding chemistry with the new players and coaches. And didn't Ruff say he wanted to win the preseason games?

Only mentioned that about game 1 from what I remember.

I think it's likely you are correct he just wants to get these relationships build with so many new players and linemates.

id prefer to see Chiasson play with better linemates but with Nichuskin being awesome and Cole apparently fitting well with benn and seguin i guess he is destined for the 3rd line.

Or back to Austin for first line minutes. I wouldn't complain as a Texas Stars fan but I would feel sad for Chiasson having to come back down....

Not a terrible option, but it would be a shame. he seems ready. Of course, I don't think we should undersell Peverley just yet. If the lines work out as you had them ... which seems like it easily could, Pevs would be on the third line with Chiasson.

I don't see Dallas using their 3rd line the same way Boston did. If anything, I would say the 4th line is Dallas' traditional checking line, and Dallas will go with three top scoring lines.

Peverley may not be a consistent offensive guy again, but I'd like to see what he could do with a better offensive linemate like Chiasson than say Chris Kelly.

Won't be going to this one tonight guys. GTA V is my priority lol. Put me on the "not sure how I feel about Ritchie on the 4th line" list.

I'm also excited to see how Glennie does tonight as well as Ritchie, Nuke, and Chiasson

Main thing is to get through this game with no injuries.

Good to see Benn paired with Oleksiak. Lets up Jaime's D covers for Jordie.

You're doing fine so far. Fine work acknowledging the suckage of Jordie.

BTW folks, there's a Heika live chat at 2-

Trill would rather play video games than watch the Stars. And have you even watched Star Wars yet?! Should get on that before GTA V. Sorry I'm just jealous because my Xbox is broke and can't play NHL 14 or GTA V.

It will be interesting to see what Ruff does with the Bottom two lines. I'm not familiar with how he rolled lines in Buffalo but right now it seems that the 3rd will be that sort of tweener energy/skill line and the 4th being the grinder/energy line.

I wish it was televised.

WARNING ... I think there is a 0% chance Faksa plays in the NHL this year.

What I'm curious about, and I forgot about up to this point, is why is Faksa even still on the roster? Ruff, rightfully so, seems focused on playing only the potential NHLers obviously with the only exception being Klingberg. When the other junior players were assigned on Monday, I assumed that meant Radek was going to get in to today's game. His regular season starts tomorrow or Friday so you'd think they'd want him there as soon as possible.

Why are they just holding on to him at this point? I hope he's not injured ... that would suck. We haven't heard much about him, and you can't assign an injured player off the roster.

That's fine and all ... just seems silly to wait for him to play making him miss regular season games in the OHL. We're not talking about a guy that dominated the OHL last year so you'd think as much time as possible with his junior team would be a good thing.
