Martin's defense did not call for pressure on the puck. When the other team made entry into our defensive zone, it was positional play, not attacking play. It always looked like we were on a PK during the Martin years.

You are forgetting that Halak had to regularly stop 40-50 shots + during the playoff run.
Anyways, hope the Habs kick some Bruins ass tonight.
And somehow that made Martin a genius....

That's just twisted enough to be funny.

I kept hearing about players showing up to training camp in 'Game Shape' and now I can't stop wondering what that mold looks like.

I hate Lucic, man because he is a Bruin, and I remember once after a fight with Lucic, he went nuts looking at the Habs bench, but I will say this. The guy is a decent guy off the ice, he really keeps it on the ice, so many times, Marchand, Ference, Krecji, would just be talking **** to the media, never Lucic, he was always respectful to his opponents to the media.

Shots from the slots are the same thing as shots from the blue line, right ?

I'm not hating anyone... I am just trying to rank the players' skill sets to see how they might fit into the big picture. Diaz is a decent NHL defenseman but some of our prospects may have the ability to supersede him in the depth chart. What's to hate?

You guys are lost, Diaz is a good player. Smart, poised and skilled, we're lucky to have him.

Fair enough. IMO Diaz and Gorges are fighting each other to remain with the Habs long term. I see PK, Emelin, Markov, Tinordi, Beaulieu as locks for the next few years with all our other prospects + a Murray/Bouillon-type for depth behind either Gorges or Diaz.

Oh, and imo it should be Diaz! Gorges makes too much $.

there is one certainty in this game. Tarnasky will fight somebody, anybody in this game. He will be looking to prove he can be a call-up bruiser if needed.

Just a couple of changes to try keeping a top nine similar to the what the Habs use, spreading out the offence. 45 mins. until Boston meets their maker.

Yeah. I hate him cuz he's a Bruin, but other than that he seems like a pretty good guy. He seems to have matured a lot too. And he is a great player.

Streams? That HD one yesterday was sweet!
