Crazy to see Siemens is still inured. He's been out months now with no announcement of what even was wrong. We know it's his knee but that's it. For all we know he could have had a bruise, or he had all the bones in his leg taken out and replaced with some kind of super alien bone which can never be damaged but takes months to recover from.
My guess is that it's somewhere in between, though.
Siemens told an LEM fan that he will be back in the lineup this Friday, and that the team was being cautious with his situation before returning to action.
Monsters finally win one! It was in a shootout and they did have to come from behind but a W is a W. Olver and Desbiens scored with Smith and Hishon scoring in the shootout to end up at 3-2. Smith is now 5/7 in the shootout. Pickard was in net and made 33 saves. Sgarbossa was back from his one game injury absence and no new injuries. Malone got in a fight. Hishon had 7 SOG and Carey with 9. The games against Utica are always wild because they basically just trade breakaways the entire time so it was pretty miraculous to get this one to OT even. Its weird to hear them call O'Reilly's name the entire time because I'm so conditioned to get excited to hear that name and think something good is happening.
Highlights, all 90 seconds of them

LEM are 8-5-0 with Siemens in the lineup and 10-15-4 without him. Probably has more to do with Avs and LEM getting a lot of injuries after he went down than him carrying the team, but hopefully he can contribute a bit down there now he's back.
Pickard outduels Cam Ward for a 1-0 shutout tonight! Amazing what difference having a real line up makes. The Monsters had 8 power plays, Charlotte had 6. Our old friend Palushaj was playing for Charllotte.
