Yup, and that's why they cut poor Leblanc after being stuck with two 4th liner vets (Moen and White) going through the motions in the only pre-season game he took part in.

What are they thinking?

It's funny hearing people grade veterans based on exhibition games. I'm sure those guys just want to try and gain their timing and not get hurt.

Judging players in general during the preseason is pretty much useless...but it's all we have right now.

What I liked tonight:

- Tinordi looked composed for a second straight game.
- Leblanc, despite the fact he was cut afterwards, played a very, very good game. To me, he clearly deserved a longer look. Was the best young forward thus far along with McCarron and Bournival.
- Thomas looked meh.
- Briere was the best player on his line tonight
- Hudon showed very nice things.
- The PK setup has to change. We have to prevent puck movement high in the zone. It's killing us.
- Murray is going to be useful. Along the boards, he just won't lose a one on one and shows some good stickwork. Pretty much what I was expecting based on what I previously saw of the guy in his career.
- Loved White's game.
- I was expecting more from Gabriel Dumont.
- After watching all of our young forwards; I have to say McCarron is probably the one who gave me the best impression.
- Dietz will have to battle hard to get a spot in the AHL this season. Competitive D in Hamilton.

What a bunch of pansies. I remember when pre-season was full of fights and even some hits. My god, this team still has zero emotion... but isn't this what our fearless leader said he was getting the fans this year?

Gorges still sucks.

I hope they told Leblanc he'd be back and encouraged him.

I was joking about McCarron the other night but he might yet get a cup of coffee if Thomas doesn't shine.

Don't think so, Thomas will get every chances to get the spot and unless he is bad, he will be there until Gionta returns.

I wouldn't say he has to play his way off the team to not get a spot. I'm sure Therrien has a plan B where he inserts Moen or Prust into the top RW spot and puts Bournival on the 4th.

That certainly seems to be the best idea at this point... as long as you take out Moen of those plans

Decisions from the previous regime are rarely given the benefit of doubt like the current GM's choices. LL is probably down the list now if not an outsider.

Could be a possibility but I feel that Thomas is already penciled on the 2nd line with Plekanec and Bourque until Gionta returns.

I would've rather kept Kristo.

Only thing I give Thomas is bloodlines.

Thomas has more toes than Kristo, and he's not a ginger.

I thought the Pac-DD-Brière showed some nice stuff, give 'em time. And, we'll also have Bourque-Plek-[insertname] or Chuck-Eller-Gally during the season.

Cole from 2011-2012? Cause last season's Cole was one of the worst player in the NHL. 13 points in 48 games playing on top lines and PP with no known injury.

No, no. PK was MUCH better, and he wasn't even close to last year's form...

I remember many times when the Bruins skated circles around Gorges and tic-tac-toed right around him like he was a preschool player.... and I like him.
