Sloppy game overall. Veterans playing at 75% and rookies trying to do too much. Preseason game.

Liked Tinordi and Leblanc. Nice goal by Pacioretty.

I dunno about you guys, but I like to wait until the first 10 minutes of the 1st regular season game before i judge every player on the team and management.

Nope. It's time to judge management now . They asked us to wait last year , this summer and now we should wait ? Nothing has changed mismanagement

I wouldn't go as far or as agressive as you do, but I sure do consider Bergevin's honeymoon over.

I'm ready to give him the full year + another summer and training camp, but I think he has to answer about some of his moves.
  • Murray instead of a youngster while Habs are continuing a rebuilt process?
  • Drewisky, really?
  • Kristo vs Thomas, really?
  • Moen to a 3 years contract, really?
  • Destroying a youngster's confidance by sending him back into the minors while he did better than a lot of other players fighthing for a spot (Leblanc)?

Mmmm...

Drewisky, really? - Never too much defensemen. I don't know where lies the problem here.

Kristo vs Thomas, really? - This could end up being bad for Bergevin. We still don't know yet. I'd like to have a look at your crystal ball.

Moen to a 3 years contract, really? - Moen played well before being labeled useless after a bad year. He still can be a contributor to this team. Again, Moen doesn't make this team a contender so there's nothing to see here.

Destroying a youngster's confidance by sending him back into the minors while he did better than a lot of other players fighthing for a spot (Leblanc)? - There's the typical overreaction of this board. ''Destroying a youngter's confidence'' .

I'm not a Bergevin's supporter. You're just jumping to conclusions way to quickly.

You are going to judge management based on preseason results? Solid plan.

People are being way too harsh on Desharnais, or Briere, or this line as a whole whatsoever. It clearly shows you have an agenda, because more often than not, they were cycling the puck in the offensive zone yesterday.

Boston.

If these two games are any indication it could be a loooooong season

Briere cycles the puck, DD unloads it to avoid a hit.

My agenda is to have a team of men not boys.

Mgmt has a successful product when all games are sold out. Seems they are complacent.

It sucks big time, but Boston is built very well and they're going to be up there for years. They have so much depth it's not even funny

Well considering that both games didn't have many of the teams regulars on them, I'd say that not only are you jumping the gun, but you're being overly dramatic.

until the games are played, camp is nothing but sweetness and sunshine as new players get fawned over and fans focus on what's happening inside their team. Then they are forced onto the ice to play another team and gravity kicks in.

And they are built perfectly to go deep in the playoffs. You know they will start out slow win one, lose one, win two, lose one and then after Olympics they will start to roll. We on the other hand are built the opposite, fly high in october and crash out with no fuel in April.

Well, we've already seen Lucic-Krejci-Iginla, so I think there's reason for a bit of concern already...

Thread is proof that hockey is back.
It's worrisome, I get it. We want results and we want them now.

But lets not get carried away after two pre-season games with none of them having a full NHL lineup.

We've seen them up against prospects. We still have to wait to see our actual team against them.

Imagine when Loui Eriksson comes in, I'm more worried about him then Iginla. Better skater, back checks hard and can snipe

Well we will likely not have Blunden-Moen-White/Leblanc-Dumon-Thomas with Murray and Boullion matching up against Lucic, Krecji and Iginla. Seriously, you guys are being insanely dramatic.

We saw Boston's 1st line, 4th line, as well as Soderberg and Fraser, who are expected to be 2/3rd of their 3rd line.

We had 2/3rd of our 4th line and our offensive line. We were missing our two PK centermen. I'd say there are no reasons to be concerned as of now.

There's still a difference between sane over-analyzing of a preason game, and people who sound like the season is over after two-preseason games.

On the bright side, I thought Hudon looked great for a first preseason game.
