Most people think the weekend, or next week. Including Bob.
Eklund probably will say today though.
Then tomorrow, then Sunday.....

I thought Bob said late this week...and possibly next week? Did he update to definitely next week in another thread?

I wouldn't be suprised to see a press release stating there will be no more meetings and they have agreed in principle on a new CBA and that a ratification process needs to take place. But not the full shabang.

I think the best thing to do is wait. Even when they do announce that there's a deal you'll still have to wait a while for the good stuff to happen anyways.

I would imagine that today (Friday) would be the last bit of negotiations of any sorts with the weekend spent to finalize everything. Monday is for the BOG meetings with perhaps the players meeting as well, with both groups going over details to understand what they are voting on. Tuesday the vote. Wednesday if all goes well double ratification with perhaps an announcement, or maybe the two sides use WED to discuss how/where to hold a press conference and do it Thursday instead.

I'm pretty sure that is what every journalist can reason out, but each one says earlier and earlier because they want to be one of, if not the, first to break the long awaited story.

From what I have been reading and hearing the announcment will not happen untill both the PA and the BOG ratify the CBA....which I think will be what happens this weekend...

Will there be an anouncment tomorrow... I highly doubt it....

But when the reps from the 30 NHL teams get together in a room its going to be hard to keep at least one from talking.... not to mention the 700+ NHLPA members...

So I think we will know today... but its highly unlikely that there will be a PC untill monday or tuesday to announce the ratification of the deal by both parties..

I saw this guy at a golf course I am a member at, and he nearly identical to Bob Goodnow. Perhaps this is where the little ***** was hiding.

If I see him tomorrow, I'll ask him when the deal will be done.

High speed internet access at your cottage? Damn. Have to hook myself up with that. Heck, I could work at the cottage then.

I agree; it's not going to be today. They will probably talk it over/vote early next week.
