Denis Arkhipov..

I would like to ask some of you if you could tell me what you all expect out of him? As in statistics, his linemates and what his offensive ceiling is?

Thanks in advance..

at this point, it's anybody's guess. he started off with a bang, coming out and scoring 20 goals in his first real season, and everyone had him pegged as the first pure offensive talent that the predators had ever really had. last season, parts of his game improved(defense, faceoffs) but his scoring was too glaringly disappointing to overlook, finishing with only 11 goals. optimists feel that he was snakebitten(at times, it certainly seemed that way...he could manage to hit a post on every wide open shot that he had), pessimists felt that the 20 goals were a matter of fluke. this will be a telling season, i think. the organization is pretty high on him, signing him to a new three year deal this summer, but i think that if he continues to struggle, i wouldn't be surprised to see him traded away.

linemates, i'm going to guess....at least to start, i wouldn't be surprised to see "the vowel line" reunited...martin erat(should he come out of camp with the spot, which i think he will) denis arkhipov and vladimir orszagh. offensive ceiling? anywhere from 10 to 35 goals. depends on what's he's really got, which none of us knows.

I think Arkhipov is going to bounce back this season, especially if Erat keeps playing like he is. Erat sounds like he has improved alot.

Legwand predictions

Now that David is signed and he sounds more devoted then he ever has...What do you guys think he'll post offensively....?

Is Scott Walker signed...?

This could affect things...even though Legwand is the key and Johansson is still there....

If Hartnell keeps it up, he has a legit possibility of forcing his way onto that line. Walker will take a few days or even a week to get back in sync, if Hartnell is put on that line and shows chemisty, he can stay. He is a more natural fit than Walker because he is basically a bigger, stronger, more talented version of Scotty.

Well, his ceiling is hard to get a grasp on. Was his 20 goal rookie season a fluke or not? If it's not a fluke and he matures as a player and his linemates increase in capabilities and talent, then he can definitely score 40 goals in the NHL. If he pans out like we hope, he can be a legit 35-40-75 guy.

Personally, I expect a 22 goal, 30 assist campaign out of the guy. He'll be with better linemates (by a good margin) than last year and hopefully, the whole team won't slump to start the season out.

I think if Hartnell can continue the pace he has set in th preseason, he is definitely a first line contender, and believe he and Leggy can work well off each other. When Upshall finally hits his stride, I would love to see a Hartnell/Leggy/Upshall line...of course this is prolly a year or two away.
