Totally agree. They will make a big impact when playing the tougher teams.
That being said, it's ironic how 3 of our tougher and bigger players were all injured to start the season (Parros played less than 5min in game 1 before getting hurt) and Patches 2 injuries, while smaller players are having no injury problems at all.
So much for the smaller guys not being able to last in the rough and tumble East.
It's not ironic , other teams focus on our biggers guys , to wear them down so they can prey on the likes of Gionta/DD/Briere and to a lesser extent Gallagher.
It doesn't make any sense... they weren't injured while "being tested" at all...
What are you talking about? Parros was hunted down viciously by Orr and judo thrown to the ice so he could prey on our young boys.
Emelin was clearly goaded into that hit on Lucic and then he threw a vicious knee [likely another judo move taught by Orr during a meeting of the tough guy Illuminati] on him when he was most vulnerable; trying to crush Lucy into the ice.
Patches was forced into that bold deke move by his opponents, and I think I saw one of them fall down and bite his hamstring clean through.
Murray is the most obvious example, he was just practicing when his prone upper body was attacked by Marchand who sneaked into practice in Youppi's get up.
Now our little fellas [and to a lesser extent Gallagher] are ripe for the picking. We are indeed doomed.
"Patches" is a good nickname for Max. When an injury looks well serious he just gets patched up and is ready to go. So he's covered in patches, like a good old pair of jeans that just won't die. Sorry maybe that's the reason we call him Patches in the first place, is it?
