Yep.
Theres 3 things that stick out as sore thumbs. Well 4 including Fleury but:

1)Glass getting alot of starts
2)Adams getting alot of starts
3)Niskanen being penciled in as a #6 or #7 D

They can fix 1 and 3 easily.

We'll see, haha. It'd push me to the brink anyway.

In other news, I think Jeffrey deserves a spot on this team too.

Could be. Didn't see the number, I was just going by the announcers.

"How dare the Pens dress Sid in preseason!" - some inevitable thread on the main board.

Jeffrey is undoubtedly an every day NHL player at this point in time.

He does.
And Bortuzzo has a better all around game than Engo.
The thing that is very noticeable is Bort's ability to find the outlet pass where Engo just chucks it up the boards and prays.

I think he gets one too as 13th forward. Kobasew as L3 RW. The fourth line only good at C.

This, "Fleury is a 40 win goalie," thing is ridiculous.

I don't see why Jeffrey can't take Jokinen's spot in a third line role. At a fraction of the price. That'd be another cap maneuver Id like management to at least consider.

I still want a Jeffrey-Vitale-Kobasew fourth line. I know the likelihood of that is far into the negatives though.

I'd move Jokinen and Niskanen and save the space for the deadline, when having 2M to play with can make a huge impact. Agree about Jeffrey as a viable replacement for Jokinen. As for Nisky's replacement, give Despres a real shot and hope (if it doesn't work, then address it at the deadline).

Jokinen can take over at 2C or in the Top 6 much better than Jeffrey. With Staal gone and Sutter as 3C...you need a good backup plan. Joks > Jeffrey in that respect.

Craig Adams won't dress two days after hell freezes over, which is one day before Glass doesn't dress.

Thats why i said Adams sticks out like a big sore thumb on the roster.
Every lineup without him in it makes this team better.

Woof. Pouliot got confused with the Blackhawk jerseys cause they're so similar to Portland's. That's why he gave it to Bickell.

That's the theory. Fact is though Pens are a playoff team with or without Jokinen, and the 1.5M for Ray Shero at the deadline is more valuable than the difference between Jokinen and Jeffrey is less than that.

EDIT: ****

The entire bottom 6 is a sore thumb when you have to figure out lines with glass and Adams in it then have to stomach who's out because of it.
