Music Thread

With all the frustrations of the season so far, and then anger/tension alot of us have over it, we need an outlet on these boards to freshen things up a bit and keep it a bit fun to check things out here.

So why don't we share the great songs/artists/bands that we stumble across on the webs and share it with one another.

I'll start with a couple songs from Rush, these guys just keep getting better as they age

this one is always a pleasure to listen too and the album its from is only a year old

This song, for me, represents everything the Oilers are. Full of melancholy and nostalgia.

These guys always settle me down when I'm irritated.

They just got announced as the headliner for Paganfest, planning on seeing them when/if the tour comes to Edmonton.

How can you post that song without posting the awesome music video that they made for it?

The infusion of metal and a symphony orchestra is always an epic combination, none done better than Dimmu Borgir, that whole album is epic.

Props to seeing some Korpiklaani in here!

i'm a huge folk/roots music fan, and recently i discovered the early stuff from the Avett Brothers, surprisingly i love it. It has nothing to do with the rick rubin era. Very raw, nothin's perfect and well shaped like their later release.

Here's a progressive metal/rock band that I discovered recently that I can't stop listening to.

Also if anyone here is into progressive metal you are probably well aware of this masterpiece.

Some hellbilly music for the crowd back to the late 80's. Screaming Blue Messiahs

Language warning on this one..
