Maybe this is meant for someone else, but I never said that. I'm only here because I think Kadri is better than Nugent-Hopkins

Unless, of course, you had it re-broken and let it heal properly...

I suggest that the kids stand up for themselves like Hall did last year. It earned him a suspension, but it also showed that he's not just going to stand around and take crap out there either.

unless you get it surgically repaired and have a long list of people who have gone through the same procedure who later claim that the 'leg' now feels stronger than ever.

True, but I was just replying to the hypothetical I was given

For what it's worth, I think this extension may be a bit of an overpayment for the first season or two after it goes into effect, but it will be, at worst, a market-value deal soon enough. Hopefully for the Oil it looks like a bargain by 2016 or so.

And you mean to tell me a teenager needs his body to fill out? Haha, no ****?

He'll be fine.

Kadri's a good player, but no way is he better than RNH.

Two Questions:

How long have you felt that Kadri is better than RNH?

How long do you think Kadri will continue to be better than RNH?

you think Kardi at age 20 was better than RNH at age 20?

you think RNH will have issues becoming a PPG player in the NHL down the road especially with all the offensive talent around him?

You think Kardi is a 90+pt player

I'd be inclined to agree. If you're the Oilers, I think you hope all 6 of those guys do enough to make 6 per on a long term deal.

You mean the hit on Clusterbum?
yeah the Oilers had to sit Hall for the next two games against the wild in fear of retaliation, whichh I'm sure will still come one day. Superstars don't fight, aren't supposed to fight, and generally aren't allowed to fight.

Taylor Hall is one thing, the guy is tough. But RNH? sure he can muck it up along the boards.. and he is strong, but he is a walking target with no repercussions.

Why don't you scroll back and read the others comments. Because I'll basically repeat the same things they said. What I want to know is when Nuge had a good rookie season, nobody said Kadri was better than him. But this year where Nuge had a sophomore slump with a shoulder problem, and Kadri had a good season, it automatically means Kadri's better than RNH? That makes no sense at all.

You're right, someone needs to take the blue line RNH tripped over and teach it a lesson.

This is a pretty big risk for the oilers.

There's nothing wrong with Kardi's statement. Not even sure why it's posted here.

It is an opinion, it can not be proved. However I would be interested in seeing a poll between the two. I would also be interesting in hearing what NHL coaches and scouts would say when comparing them. My guess is, the consensus answer would be RNH is currently and will continue to be the better player.

Hall was suspended for two games after that hit. He never sat.

That is complete b.s. Hall was injured the next time they played the Wild but was in the lineup, and dominant, the time after that. Clutterbuck tried to take a run at him at the end of the game and made a complete fool of himself.

The ridiculous of HF is growing every day.....Kadri > RNH...
That is a good laugh.

If you are a GM in the NHL, and you traded RNH for Kadri, do you know how fast you will be run out of town?

Also, note that RNH was making more than Kadri's new contract when he was 18, 19, and this year at 20. So do you want the guy to sign a bridge contract for less than what he is making?
Sorry Kadri, you weren't #1 overall.

This is technically a bridge contract. This is just a short 6 year bridge until we sign him to big money in 2020.

In what dream world did Kadri become better then RNH? I swear people on this forum are taking crazy pills. If Mac T offerered RNH to Toronto for Kadri straight up not only would Nonos accept that deal so fast, he'd also give up his first born.

Just my $.02, but maybe the Oilers are thinking the cap is going to increase significantly and they are locking up their guys when the "bar" is srt artificially low?

I'm pretty sure that is the sentiment of a select few rather than the consensus of HF Boards.
