The schedule is out. Games 3 and 4 are happening in Edmonton on back-to-back nights, May 6 and 7 (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Really don't know if I like that or not. I suspect that this back-to-back setup has the potential to either be really good or really bad, depending on who's more beat up/tired from Game 3.

It sucks to play back to back, but they are young kids and should be bake to handle it.

Wouldn't mind seeing Derek Laxdal as an Assistant here sometime soon. What a great job he's done with the Oil Kings..

So I'm just looking at what the OKs team could look at next season, and this is what I've come up with:

GRADUATING: Kieser, Petryk, Corbett, Kulda(would be Euro overage, team won't use two of those spots on one player)

PRO BOUND: Reinhart, Moroz, Samuelsson

POTENTIAL OVERAGERS: Orban, Sautner, Santos

THE REST: Bertolucci, Benson, Baddock, Ralph, Eller, Robertson, Bauer, Lazar, Walter, Pollock, Carroll, Irving, Mills, Mayo, Jarry

I'd guess Santos is gone, won't use an overage spot on a backup goalie. Likely pick a guy up via trade early in the season. Lazar could make the Sens, but since he's not AHL eligible he could end up back here.

Should still be a pretty solid year. Jarry should be the top goalie in the league again, and if Lazar comes back the team could potentially compete for a fourth straight title.

I think the backup will be that dea kid from st Albert. high pick a few years back. They also have the rights to that massive kid from the bchl, but I think he's going ncaa.

Oil Kings battling back, score a couple to make it 3-2.
But, Moroz looks hurt, clipped by Dumba.

Portland keeps rolling... As much as I love this OKs team, they are no match for this Portland squad.

What a gong show. How that Dumba hook that led to the 5-2 goal went uncalled is beyond me after some of the ******** they were calling against the OK's.

Pollock was baaaaad today. I know he scored a goal, but two dumb penalties in the offensive zone killed them.

That was ridiculous. The reffing in the W playoffs this year has been extremely suspect.

That game looked like the first Montreal-Boston game, but without a goalie who stole the game.

Yah Edmonton was completely outclassed.

I think the score actually flattered Edmonton. That game wasn't close.

I don't see them winning this series.

Worst game of hockey I've ever seen Lazar play also.

Maybe he's hurt or something but he looked like he couldn't keep up with the play.

It's concerning when the OKs aren't looking as though they believe they can win. Slow footed and o confidence passing the puck. Things will need to improve big time and they'll need to outright own the 2nd.

I thought this would be a lot closer than it is.

watching these two teams play it's obvious who the better team is... and it's not even close.

There would have been hope if they could come out of Portland with the split.

Hopefully Portland gets thumped again in the Memorial Cup.

What's wrong with you guys?

We havent even played a home game yet.

Did you think a team that has only lost 3 times in their last 40 games was gonna give it up at home in the finals just like that?

Im proud of this team they have WAY overachieved this year already winning their division and making it back to the finals for the third year in a row.

You may not see that again in your lifetime, that's how rare of an achievement that is.

Ya it sucks we lost, but lets have some class and show some respect. These arent millionaires mailing it in, they are kids who are busting their ***** night in and night out.

It's not looking good for the Oil Kings they are down in the series 2-0. Last year the Oil Kings lost the series in 6 games to Portland. They need to step it up when they are back here in Edmonton. Lets hope they get a loud crowd to support them here and help give them some added energy.
