I think we also have to consider that Edmonton isn't a hockey town, it's an Oiler town.

Anyways, hopefully the flu bug stays strong in the Portland room. Should be a good one tomorrow!
I'm not sure if it's flu...it's probably stomach pain from grabbing the Oil Kings' sticks and jabbing it into their guts to buy a hooking call.

Nice! Two goal lead is far from safe but better than being up only 1.

I might get roasted for saying this...but seriously, Corey Graham: can you please, PLEASE stop whining about the refs every second minute? I get that the Hawks are playing dirty and that the reffing has been abysmal, but your commentary has started to reek of homerism on an embarrassingly Canucklehead-esque level.

Don't get me wrong, I usually love Corey's play-by-play. It's a joy to listen to a guy who paints the picture and actually shows legitimate passion for goals (*cough*JackMichaels*cough*). It reminds me of listening to Rod Philips again. But not even Rod Philips would endlessly rip the refs as often as Corey has done tonight.

What a great comeback. If we win this one I think there's a good shot at winning the Memorial Cup too.

So I said earlier in the thread that the dedicated systems play of the OKs could give the Hawks fits. It's happening right now. It took Portland until the middle of the third period in tonight's game to realize they had to start dumping and chasing, and then the OKs were ready for that too. The OKs are completely in the Hawks' heads right now, including Jarry. Laxdal has out coached Johnston thus far as well.

Hawks are a good team though - I suspect Game 6 will be an absolute war. I'm still staying with my prediction - OKs in 6 games.

He's calling it like it is. For that I say job well done.
