Kevin Allen ‏@ByKevinAllen now
Colorado claimed Marc-Andre Cliche on waivers from LA

He's real and a center.

His name is pronounced "Cleesh." He was a decent player, has a good skillset but, in my opinion, never really excelled at anything in particular. He was the last remnant from when we traded Sean Avery, and since we got him till today he never really had a shot at all of making the roster. He has been great for Manchester though and has been a leader there for a few years. He may prove to be a fourth liner, but might be best served as a terrific depth pickup. Good luck to him.

Well it won't be for ROR, so likely Stastny is going to Buffalo for Miller.

Avs can't send him down to AHL without putting him on waivers, where I suspect Kings will just claim him back and send him to their AHL team.

It'll be the Zach Boychuk dilemma all over again.

These players pretty much always have some flaw to their game so significant that they'll never be good NHLers.

Kings have let a few forwards go that turn out to be ok (Moulson and Purcell) so I guess there is a chance there is something to this guy.

That last person we picked up off waivers was alright for a few games, I daresay this one will do a job if he has to.

Sounds like he's going to be competing with Mitchell, Olver, Heard, and Malone for a roster spot.

Looks like a backup for Mitchell/Olver, competing for our 14th forward slot tbh. If he's a decent 4th line center, he could make Mitchell expendable (crosses fingers) and allow us to roll a real 4th line without the enigmatic Johnny Malkin.

Nope. If we waive him he'll go through the league again for claiming, if no one claims him LAK can claim and send him right down to their AHL club.

As Freudian said, this move doesn't make sense just to put him back on waivers to report to Lake Erie. If he does go it would because he sucks and wouldn't have a spot on the Avs.

I was thinking the same thing, but even "this" Clichy wasn't good defensively and has a punk ass attitude.
