Paul Byron (because he's earned a thread)

When did this guy become an all-star? I blinked and missed it. I watched last night's overtime this morning (thanks Murza), and wow, he and Backlund look like elite players out there against the Blues. I'm sick and feeling slightly silly, so see the attached poll.

The answer is obviously Byron. If you can't see that, take off the homer glasses Hawks fans

Anybody who knows a thing or two about hockey knows Byron is the better player. What has this Kane guy ever done?

Byron has definitely made the most of his call up. Pretty impressed with Mighty Mouse.

You guys are severely underrating Kane.

Kane might never get to the level of play that Byron has attained but the kid is young, has OK size and has some decent potential.

It's obvious that Byron is on another level and he's clearly slumping right now but to assess his value right now when it's at its lowest is the worst time to compare him with Kane especially as he's peaking.

Jokes aside, he's looked a lot better this season than he previously did.

As a 7th generation cab driver, I'd have to say Byron AINEC. But that's just my 20 cents.

Unbelievable how well he has fit in. Backlund and Byron logged the most ice time in overtime and that speaks volumes about how well and how much Hartley trusts them. I also thought it would be JG or Sven that would be a small top 6 player but if Byron this kind of game every time then he could be in that conversation too.

If he keeps this up, what does he max out as? a great 3rd liner?

Kane probably will never be more than a good/serviceable 3rd liner. Great? A bit of a stretch.

I think it's becoming more and more clear that Byron's size is merely a clever illusion.
