I stopped reading the article because I couldn't get past this:

Fact is, the loss of reliable veterans like Pierre Marc-Bouchard, ........

PMB was about as reliable as a wet paper bag.

Take this exact same lineup and put them on an Eastern Conference team and you'd either get more positivity or less negativity in that article. The writer is also overvaluing the losses of Cullen, Seto, PMB and Clutterbuck, IMO.

Pretty much every preview thus far has over valued them. Only one that may hurt is Cullen and his versatility in my opinion.

Fact is, until the Kids show something beyond .3 PPGs in the NHL, the "lose of veterans" will be a large theme in the previews.

Far too many pre-season articles about the Wild talk about the "losses" of Bouchard, Cullen, Setoguchi, and Clutterbuck.

I would point to those players being unreliable as a main reason why the Wild have spun their wheels in the past. The truth is the team could not put faith in those players to be the middle line players that got the Wild to the next level.

The Wild are going to be stronger with them gone. Especially concerning how many great options the Wild have with their talent young players moving forward.

Agreed. They should read: "Bouchard, Cullen, Setoguchi, and Clutterbuck REPLACED by Granlund, Coyle, Pominville, and Neiderreiter."

Like every other preview, it will be right for the wrong reasons, just like they were right for the wrong reasons in previous years. Last year the Wild WERE a borderline playoff team, even if they were Jekyll and Hide. This year, they SHOULD be a top 5-6 team, although I think the kids will be better than the preview says they will be.

I know that previews may over value the losses, but saying Gilbert is better than Ballard AND saying that Devin "the streaker" Setoguchi and PMB and Cal were reliable?! C'mon they were anything but reliable, Cullen on the other hand was reliable. but to praise our top 4, our top line, and our 3rd line and than not think we have a decent 2nd line (heatley with coyle, granlund, nino)?! Ridiculous article if you ask me!
