Noboby will ever debaucherize the Oilers again if I have my way.

Trade Block:

Sheldon Souray
Daniel Winnik
Dustin Penner
Mark Fistric

Also, taking inquiries for Hiller, Fasth and Frederik Andersen as I'm likely going to go into the year with only 2 of those 3 guys.

I don't really have time for it, but will step up if you need one.

(got promoted twice this summer from hourly supervisor to regional manager. I have no life anymore but at least i have an office and a company car )

That was a bold trade for EDM. It has the potential to be a big win for them if Tarasenko Schwartz and Allen turn out......but wow that's an awful gamble.

That's why i'm the Chicago Cubs of GM games, i never have the guts to make the big move...

Place defenceman Brian Lee on waivers.

Waiting for a NTC approval to announce a big trade. We are likely done with movement after it's confirm but still willing to listen to offers.

BLOCKBUSTER TRADE

The Montreal Canadiens have traded goaltender Carey Price and defenseman Douglas Murray to the Pittsburgh Penguins for goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, defenseman Simon Despres, forward Anton Zlobin and Pittsbugh 2014 1st round pick.

It is the more important trade of our organization in recent years. Carey Price has an incredible potential but he isn't at the level he was supposed to be at the moment. He is still young and should continue to improve with his new team. We felt we could afford to make this trade for two reasons : Stéphane Waite and Zachary Fucale. We consider that Waite is the best goalie coach in the NHL and he should do wonders with Fleury, our new starting goalie. Fleury is very talented and is a proven playoffs performer. He was in need of a change of scenery and we believe that his problems are all about confidence. With Fucale, we have one of the best goalie prospect in the world and our future is set in goals. Despres was the key of the trade to us. We believe that he will be a complete top 4 defenseman in a very near future and he fits very well with our young core going forward. Zlobin is an intriguing prospect and he had great chemistry with Michael Bournival in the QMJHL. We are also thrilled to add another first round pick for the 2014 draft. We wish Carey and Doug all the best in Pittsburgh.

Two (not-so-good) Francophones for Carey Price. Go figure. Guy gets so much disrespect in Montreal I hope they move him to greener pastures.

The truth is that Price should be a top 5 goalie by now but he is barely top 10 (and I'm generous if we look at last season).

We do not have the same opinion at all about Despres and a late 1st isn't nothing either.

Huge gamble there but Despres and the 1st worth more to us than the difference between Price and Fleury. With Fucale in the prospect pool, it was a gamble we were ready to take.

Willing to discuss trades involving Nathan Beaulieu and/or Sebastian Collberg.

Don't have anything in mind, tell us what you would be ready to part with and we'll work from there.

We confirm this deal. We are thrilled to bring in a goalie of Price's pedigree to our roster. With the addition of Jacques Martin, we are playing a safer defensive game which should also help prevent goals. Murray will bring the same great crease-clearing element and PK ability that he did last year which was very valuable to us.

We wish Marc-Andre and Simon the best, but it was time to move on from both of these guys. Fleury has proven that he will not win another cup with the Penguins, so it was time for a change of scenery. Despres, while still filled with potential, did not come into camp prepared and was sent to the minors. Olli Maatta has surpassed Despres in terms of value to this team, and we look forward to seeing what he can do in the playoffs.

We are still waiting on another trade involving a veteran from Pittsburgh that will bring in a guy who will be key to our success in the future.

Looking to shake things up a bit. Anyone around for trade talks? PM Us. Just getting around to replying to some PMs right now.

Kassian garnering a ton of interest. Not sure if we'll move the young power forward but if the offer was right, we'd consider it.

David Booth is available for those looking for a reclamation project. He is a former 30 goal scorer, battling some injury woes the last couple of years.

Still looking for a 2nd line wing, 3rd C, and 4th line rental.

Granted I probably don't watch as many Habs games as you, but isn't that a little pricy for Emelin? Or is that around where his value is now?

Maybe 500k too much but considering he was a UFA to be, it's not that bad.

Emelin brings a physical presence, can play on the PP and the PK and has an underrated transition game. 4M$ per for a two-way top 4 defenseman is actually quite good IMO.

Several good assets available for a young top line RW

Nathan Beaulieu
Sebastian Collberg
MTL 2014 1st round pick
PIT 2014 1st round pick
Other picks and most prospects

Too bad that there are very little rebuilding teams...
