It also means that its very likely that the metro is only getting three teams in so The Canes can't afford more losing streaks.. You have to think three teams will break away.

Still 55 games left.

Plenty of time to make up that 2 1/2 wins.

The thing is, every other team in the division is thinking the same thing. Out pacing them by 2 1/2 wins in 55 games doesn't sound like much, but it's easier said than done as we have discovered all too often.

Bottom line is the team needs to win. They've had time for slumps and excuses, now they need to turn it on or things are going to look very ugly.

And I suppose this 6 points in 5 games really only gets you 96 points in 80 games. So there is a 4-point margin of error.

Updated. Could have really used the win last night, if only to not get even further behind.

Updated. The next 15 games will decide the season. It's the easiest stretch of games (on paper) and they're coming off a momentus (or watershed) win.

Bah, the PPD Buffalo game screwed up my chart. But oh well, I'll just mark it down as completed now and worry about the other in Feb.

Felt good to fill up a section with Ws

Slide a handful of games up? That seems like it'd make the most sense to me.

Yeah, it's what I'm going to do, but like I said, it's a hassle. Besides, you just know the Columbus game is going to ruin that perfect game, so to speak, if I move it up before then.

Although it may have been at -5 because of that Buffalo game that was postponed.

This hasn't been updated in a while. Should probably do that, if just to cement our despair.

Yeah, that feels even worse than the illusion that we're only 7 points out.

Interesting to note that things have only become slightly worse over the past 6 weeks.

Haha we haven't been ahead of pace. Not even once.

What a season.

EDIT: After each threshold, I mean. We were ahead of pace after games 2, 4, and 9. We'll always have games 2, 4, and 9.

lol

I like this concept, though. Hopefully next season the team can get off to a good start and keep up the pace (ie not losing 5 straight games three times).
