Colts signed former Steelers RB Chris Rainey. Man, it took that kid a lot longer than I thought to find work again in the NFL.

Jameis Winston may be in deep ****.

Gotta watch who you fool around with. I hope for his sake its a false report.

If not, he deserves whatever he gets.

Yeah, if they're matching up DNA, he's toast.

Blake Bortles, QB for UCF. Forget Manziel, Bridgewater. This guy is good.

His attorney said that they expected a match, which leads me to believe Winston's claim is consensual relations. I'm not saying I would believe him is he did say it, but it would set up a "she said/he said" situation (other evidence notwithstanding).

I live in Orlando so I watch UCF games a lot. Bortles is very good. He won't be picked in first round but has mid round grade on him. QB is really deep for next year's draft.

Yep, **** is very hard to prove. DNA wouldn't help if he says it's consensual.

It may affect his chance for winning the Heisman.

Is he good enough that you would still take him in the mid rounds with a Steelers pick after taking Landry Jones last year?

I haven't seen him play. I had to google him. The pictures of his hot blonde gf that popped up on google were a pleasant surprise.

Yep, Lindsey Duke is HOT!

Every QB seems to have a hottie especially in the South. Ever see AJ McCarron's gf?

I'd take Bortles in the mid-rounds if only because he has that boom/bust sort of pedigree in the NFL, whereas Jones is more of the prototypical quality back-up. I've stated many times that I had no problems with that pick, and I still don't, but Jones is a vanilla prospect. He's a Charlie Batch in the sense that he's going to be a competent back-up that excites nobody, but when his number is called he'll do well enough...I just don't see enough in his game to see him as someone you want to see as a starter.

Bortles has that small school ceiling, you don't really know what you're getting, but he has the tools.

Just like a certain other Pittsburgh Steeler QB?

He reminds me a lot of Ben.

If you guys know me, you know that half the reason that I love Ben so much is that he came from ****ing nowhere, Ohio. The year before I was willing to sell my soul to get Byron Leftwich.

A fairly large part of me may die if our next QB of the future is from goddamned Oklahoma.

Thanks for clarifying. I always wonder about these things:

On the one hand, it's the type of charge that you have to take seriously, and, if the guy really did it, then he needs to burn.

On the other hand, I do wonder if in any (or how many) of these cases it's consensual, the girl then thinks 'I'm gonna be his girl now', the guy then says 'get lost *****', and the girl cries wolf.

Note: I'm trying to be rather delicate with my language there and, in a 100% serious moment, hope that I was clear and in no way can be seen as diminishing either women or the seriousness of their charges in these 'he said/she said' incidents.

Either way, it's just so hard to prove absent physical evidence that clearly demonstrates that something forcible happened (bruises, etc), and even what you think is clearly demonstrated can be turned into reasonable doubt rather quickly and even convincingly by an able defense attorney.

As some have said, even if there is no prosecution, probably hurts his Heisman chances. May affect his draft status (or, lead teams to give less benefit of the doubt if there are any other 'personal incidents' in his history).

In regards to the Steelers scouting QBs.... do they seriously think Ben's next contract would be the biggest cap issue for the team? They need to get rid of the has-been's on defense before they ever think about trading Ben. Guys like Ike, Clark, and Woodley are the problems. They simply are not effective players anymore. In the cap era, you can't pay guys that kind of money to suck. Yes, cutting those guys would result in some dead money, but the Steelers will have to deal with that sooner or later, so it might as well be sooner.

KIRK trying to be delicate. ROLF.

just kidding. allegations of sexual misconduct are very serious and discussions regarding this subject can be fraught with difficulty as we endeavor to speak in such a way that maintains respect for the individuals in question and the experiences they have and will have to endure.

Montana effectively knocks Montana State out of the playoffs, while securing a seeded berth for themselves with a 28-14 win in Bozeman

Pitt beat Syracuse 17-16 to become bowl eligible (Pets.com Bowl in Texarkana, here we come!) and give me bragging rights over my uncle at Thanksgiving.

Can't allow Ben to take credit for another game. It's not the Steeler way.

Element of surprise I guess. Browns are very good pass rushing team. Steelers may have thought they'd catch them getting up the field too much.

Then you run a draw. Let the pass rushers go outside.
